Use a terminal to list the cells in the map: list cell then query them to find in which zone they are: query cell_xxx

Here's where they are: ||one is always in the starting zone. If it's too far in the fog, start with other ones. There are 3 blood doors attached to the generator room. Each zone past the blood doors has a cell. Entering a cell lowers the fog so start with the highest one and look down (one blood door is down a ladder)||

But I noticed that some scans are slower than others, even when solo.
A1 is different as it is an objective scan. You only need one person in the scan for that extraction process. It doesn't affect the scanning process no matter how people in the scan.

Is there a place for us Beginners to learn about our weapons and equipment and to learn a few tips or is it best to just jump in and figure it out as we go?
I've found it best to dive in and just play about, not expecting to finish the level per say but learn about it as you go.
Having someone with some experience to sort of "show you the ropes" so to speak can help, but I've found it detracts from people's enjoyment and enthusiasm of learning something new themselves if this happens

That spreadsheet has all of the weapon stats derived from friendly-fire. While still being updated for R3, it can give you a good idea of what all the weapons are capable of. The rest of it is the sort of thing you'll need to feel out for yourself in-game.
A mixture of the two. Tips can be double-edged swords depending on the player. Some players give tips that are more harmful that beneficiary. Other players may give advice that have neutral applications. For best results, I recommend doing some dabbling; try out different weapons to see which ones you prefer. Learn how effective they are situationally and which weapons synchronize better. Every mission will have a different scenario in which a different weapon would be superior. If you want to learn more advanced tips, ask more renowned veterans for gameplay tips. They're able to provide tips that are much different from the average player.

Awesome, well I appreciate the info. I'll take a look over the spreadsheet just to get an idea about the gear and tool around solo some to learn a little bit first hand before I try to add my weight to a group.
I haven't actually bought the game yet (I've been following it for months and intended to get it just before quarantine hit and, being an 'essential employee' I have had 0 time to myself the last few months, rip.) But personally for any game as tactical and in depth as this I do as much research as I personally can w/o getting too far into spoiler-territory. I've read some general guides on Steam and watch some playthroughs to get the basics down, because for me knowledge is power and I'll still feel just as accomplished when I succeed at something in the game because no matter how much info you have it takes skill to apply that knowledge in a useful way. So at least for me I'll take all the help and tips I can get.
You'll be able to learn more quickly since you have done your research on guides and stuff, you only need to apply that skill and develop your playstyle.
There is still trial and error when dropping down in the complex but as long as you manage your resources you'll be fine
personally i like running into a problem first and then searching for an answer for why and how something happens
connect the dots with what you already know and remember for a longer time
for weapons, accuracy, especially hip fire accuracy and how well it staggers is very important, you can't really find that on paper

Enemy spawn placements and what terminal is used. I get lucky some runs and dont have to deal with a scout and some runs i start the first room with 10 enemies
It's more consistent if you can deal with bad RNG.

Not something you should count on.
Should be straightforward to kill. Worst case, shoot him and fight the room.
You have enough resources in that zone alone to recoup.

I have the strats down, i understand how to play. what im saying is code 5/6 is a pain in the ass in my opinion
also you know the ladder in zone 434A iirc
6/6 would be a breeze if they moved sec door to like 3/6
the scout really likes to walk between that and the wall even though his head clips
there was a huge difficulty jump between A1/2 and A3
A1 i cleared without too much gunfighting, mostly stealth and i got it on my first try.
A2 was harder but after we cleared the room with the generators the only times we died was when accidentally setting off enemies before intended and that only happened like twice
oh that and we opened the scout room on A2 with two flashlights on despite me warning my team that the Bio reader said there was like 3 kajillion enemies behind it
my team almost cleared a3 on our first go but it took us like 5 to clear a2

no we just searched for it and we found the terminal on our last run and all felt like dumbasses

I can melee em sometimes but im not exactly sure when its invulnerable. Yes when it triggers

you need as much freedom of movement as you can so usually the scout killer solos the room and the rest hang at safe spots to see if the scout decides to become a suicide volunteer
hey guys i'm a new player and i have a problem. so ive been having a little trouble with scouts and idk why, ive frozen one with the c-foam then fully charged melee in the head and it didnt die and activated, i then managed to get under the tentacles an bashed it in the head with a full charge in another run and it still went off. idk what i'm doing wrong. i havent managed to kill a single scout yet
You're doing something wrong if you don't get the orange marker

Always aim for the head
Best case scenario is the scout walking towards you
When you’re fully charging wait until you hear a little blip sound or just wait for the circle to be filling white that should kill the scout if it connects to the head
But if you’re using Cfoam and you’ve connected a fully charge to the head just keep whacking it if it’s still standing just to be on the safe side
Your reticle when you have your melee out should shrink when you're in range of what you want to kill

You’ll master em eventually they aren’t all that hard to combat

Fair enough, I do want to give the game a shot but can't commit to a long sit-down unfortunately
Solo runs are averaging about 45 minutes to 1 hour
So 4 player runs can be like 25 minutes or less
Until you start going up the tiers
A1 took me and a full group 27 minutes

So for R3A3 specifically, the circles generated by the alarm door aren't in the same location for every player in the game

But when another member hosted, they were only wrong for me

The player is able to put the cell on their pack in order to climb, but not for other activities.
I could see it interfering with the hammer, as they pull it wayyyy back while on the charging animation
But using a gun while having the cell on the pack should be viable
using a gun while holding cell or turbine would be a little OP

Yep it’s a bug and someone reported it in R2. Extremely small chance to activate and you are not able to pick up any resources @vital sierra

Alarms will not affect rooms full of sleepers
The only time they will get woken up is if said room is in the way of the alarmed sleepers and they bust in it. 9/10 they’ll scream and wake them up leading to you having to deal with along side the alarmed ones

Just when ever it’s possible kill every single sleeper in any given room. Mainly because when it’s time for extract they’ll wake up regardless due to there always being an endless alarm once the objectives are done

i finished a3 with my boys but we have 5 people, so we got the 5th and were gonna carry him through a3 but the enemy spawns were MUCH more unforgiving

got waves of brutes and hybrids a lot earlier than normal, and higher sleeper spawns in general

Not sure why that needed patched to be honest. It really wasn't that hard to deal with, and I have never run out of resources on a3.
Most new groups need to learn that opening security doors means that the sleepers might have a new spawn area.,
you forget that we're all not playing the game for the first time
I've done the map plenty of times with new groups and enjoy helping out. New players love that level.

@tacit canopy Mines were buffed back in R2, but depending on where and how you place mines it can either kill the horde (or most of it) or kill one sleeper
it always kill 1, even if it was under them , it feel so weak

I've found that the most optimal placement for mines are ankle height placed horizontally

Mines have always been a bit inconsistent
generally its best to have one horizontal on the door, then another on an object if you can so the line goes through the center of door

Does every mission have a last stand/hold out thing? Or is it just this rundown? :/ My group is getting really annoyed at almost making it to the end of a mission only to get overwhelmed
Every rundown has had an extraction portion at the end of the missions, and many are hold outs

Ah, yea the hold out takes awhile on that level. My best suggestion would have to be just make sure you aren't all reloading at the same time and that you have ammo to make liberal use of.

All expeditions within a tier should be roughly the same difficulty

silly question, i haven't played since the game first hit steam. I've seen it get two different updates with new rundowns... I just launched the game and i only see rundown R3. Am i missing some way to navigate to the others, or is there only the one in the game atm?
do we know if when the game hits full release it will continue with that pattern? or will it give us previous rundowns to play as well?
im just sad i missed out on trying content, not the end of the world, just didnt know it went away.

so I have seen some people worried about shotgun sentries (SS) being nerfed (- Fixed a bug where the Shotgun sentry got a damage multiplier boost equal to the number of players in the game.) And i was wondering if the bug was long term which would mean every level may need to be rebalanced if it was designed with high SS damage in mind, OR if this bug was in the game just after the june 18th update and was hotfixed on june 19th

The bug has existed for a while and the shotgun sentry has always been over powered so the bug fix brings it in line with how the devs intended the difficulty to be. People wanted a harder game...

|| do each door on the sides , and retrieve the cell and the fog turbine in one of the doors after opening both doors , and retrieving everything youll have 2 cells, and a fog turbine , power the middle door with one turbine , go inside , kill scout and clean things , and grab another cell somewhere ,power a generator for a alarm door, prepare por everything and do the scan in the alarm door, all sleepers will come from the middle , complete scan , bring a cannon secondary ( i think is the better for this) kill the sacks that the mother have with everyone and survive , after that power the mov alarm door that it has 2 alarms , a classic alarm and the monsters on the other side , after cleaning everything put the children on the machine activated and run back with the kid ||

||You don't need to do both rooms, but the room connected to spawn without the fog turbine has resources in it so it's up to you whether you want to do it||

Well since sleepers go through the open one, close the other door and only keep bottom open. Camp on top of ladder with shotgun and sniper biggies as they approach. Don’t be hesitant to retreat and when you do so, do it as a team so your mates don’t get flanked

You see, Burst can be seriously good. However, you have to use it in a straight line for it to use it to the fullest. If you can do that with a higher height, it's really good but the trade off with tool packs and resources is just not worth bringing it.
It's very specific, you can't just drop and go. You actually have to think where to place and have a very good knowledge of the burst.
I feel like burst is almost intended for new players to use
Because its best used as a panic sentry, to support the combined firepower of the team

Was thinking of reporting a bug, but figured I'd ask first if its a bug or I'm just too new to the game. Was using the radar when a room full of sleepers turned from white to tiny red pin points. Not aggro'd, I even walked up to them and they seemed totally normal. stayed that way the rest of the level, no others affected.

@rigid echo You cannot combine packs, 40% simply refers to how many uses the pack has. The highest percent a medpack can have is 100%, which is 5 uses.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean like you can upgrade stamina, skill, etc type of system?
3 - Will the soldiers be fundamentally with their roles, for example, an engineer, an operative, a hacker, etc., such as in the game Deep Rock Galactic?
Characters won't have defined roles. You can be whatever "role" you want by choosing the loadout that your team needs.
