what is the usecase for Bat?
I've tried it a few times and could never figure out the playstyle you want to adopt to not just make you wish you had a different melee
it has some crazy stagger numbers but on a surface level it only seems noteworthy against giants, which, with the low range, it's tricky to make effective use of

it is possible for enemies to clip into the mine and set it off, yes
but it's rare that it happens, unless talking about a handful of specific enemies

I think it's so funny that the bot shooting makes no noise, Bishop just fully blammed a Scout with a scattergun for no reason and nobody else woke up

For what it's worth, I frequently had "soft-stuck" enemies with the first optional alarm in R1C2.
The alarm for Zone 90
They often spawned in 92F (ironically, since the alarm is in 92C and there's a room divider in 92 between C and D so they should spawn in 92E instead).
For soft-stuck I mean that they didnt react until I was close to them.
As opposed to be 100% stuck because they spawned on a box or whatever.

a semi experienced team should just send one person to deal with the stragglers, and an experienced team can just have 1 person clean up last alarm wave in its entirety while the rest pushes

ideally you just don't get stragglers at all, it's just not something that should have to be dealt with
the team I was with wasn't super duper experienced, just familiar enough that it seemed feasible enough for us to get a first clear, we never found that straggler and were a bit slow coming out of sec and reaching that point in Main
(we did come back and get the clear where we got no stragglers, props to them)

Assuming you don't do the precise cargo skip trick, it makes the trek back to overload way slower, if anything

after killing the tank and opening the door to extract (and not starting the charger error), PE has you want to trek back to overload and pick up the cargo

if you've been in combat drain state the whole time due to a straggler no one went back for (say you were slow progressing through main), you're bound to run out of stamina a few times instead of not at all
