You treat it like a... A hunting rifle or something? Its not a powerful railgun, but not exactly a measly bitch either.
If you see a single target - you either aim for the head or do a double take.
If many enemies are coming from a tight direction and are funneling - no thoughts, head empty, take shots that pen and you'll probably wipe half the wave that way.

@shadow flower the extra damage to tanks/moms when tumors were destroyed were amazing for modders. would it be possible to keep it as a toggle in the datablocks so modders can continue to use it, but have it disabled by default for vanilla?

it is easiest to jump, if the scout tilts the head back you should be able to reach it without jumping though

when Rundown 2 came out, it replaced Rundown 1, Rundown 3 replaced Rundown 2 and so on, everytime a new rundown came the old one got eliminated
on Rundown 7 tho, the devs decided to bring the old rundowns back, and they did it the ALT://Rundowns, the old rundowns but slightly changed and optimized

how do i prevent chargers from spawning in the hsu room in r3c1 i was told it was suppsoed to be one stealths into the final room with hsu to find it then the rest defend outside
but everytime its spawned 4 chargers without waking up the room that rail me
if u get uhh zone 17 i believe, u gotta rush to the second area, since its a zone of three rooms if im not wrong, so u gotta do ur best to just run ahead to there and then pull if u want or whatev else
if its zone 20 which is the cool aand good one i believe, u gotta do nothin exxcept go in, since its a zone of only a room divider, so two areas

Generally alarms only shut off once u finish the scan
If the scan is right where they are coming from, you better Hit every single Shot to Not get overwhelmed once you get on it

95% of the time the enemies dont stop coming till all scans are done
So scans are always a priority
Enemies will continue to spawn till you finish the alarm so generally the quicker you finish the fewer you fight. Also note new waves won't spawn until you've killed some enemies so they don't go over the enemy cap. (there can only be so many active enemies at a time)

uh tbh those kinds of precision weapons, cause shooters have a lot of hp but very weak heads

and bad are autos, hel shotgun, sawed off...
they can still deal with em kinda easily but it might take u a couple of shots or just meleein at some point

In that case the achievement is likely only being tracked when it got introduced in R8 (AKA previous rundown completion does not count). Hopefully someone can confirm for me.

Yeah you're spot on, it was state of the art to use the BIOCOM link to control staff, if they had DOW tech it would be common I'd guess
We also would see many more prosthetics, and far more advanced ones.
The few we have are vanilla based on IRL ones, and probably the single most advanced one is the hand.

I don't think its directly linked to the laser - the laser is just a general hint where the mine will trigger. I'd imagine its a specified AxBxC area and that's that.

tbh me and my buddy had an issue similar to this on our very first expedition (we died like 3 times on r1a1, kek) right at the end he suddenly gained some kind of zombie state, and was able to revive me and keep them on him for long enough to finish the ticker

I found some screenshots from GTFO gameplay in C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\10 Chambers Collective\GTFO\Screenshots. Most screenshots are when I was using in-game terminal. I didn't notice when they were taken. Does gtfo client send them to game server without telling me?

We don't have any built-in key for taking screenshots, just whatever your OS, Steam, or Unity might have. I think one of those has a default of scroll lock or something that does that. Probably something with Unity considering that folder path is one made by Unity.
I just checked many folders for other games made by unity. There aren't screenshots folders. Also I don't know how I can turn off that shortcut key. I guess there is no way for users to figure it out if it's a unity shortcut
My other 3 friends have the same folder and some screenshots they don't know in it same as me. Did you recognize that before?

as someone starting new sould I start with rundown one or do the new stuff I've been told to do new by some and some told me to start at one what would yall reccomend?
rundown 1 is just easier
but
r6-8 is a more interesting path both level and lore wise
4 & 5 are good levels
what about rundown 2 and 3

From testing crouching doesnt make them go into glowing state any faster than their random cycles 
Yeah, far as I can tell, entering a crouch, count as crouched, movement, and uncrunch counts as walking movement

Key point is that it is linear falloff after where falloff starts, so you have to get to halfway between falloff start and falloff end to be doing half damage etc.
theres an easy setup in r7b1 if you wanna do it on repeat. (Do both alarms with bots, get the key. Go through the next zone until checkpoint.
Once checkpointed you have 3 alive scouts to test on where you dont have to reset and redrop everytime.

it rly depends on the gun and chosen target for how much the lowered dmg matters.
Killing a charger with high cal needs you to be in an exact 8 meter range, since any drop of from 30 makes it no longer enough
This also assumes that you dont kill any scout before the checkpoint of course
Otherwise it's just one (considering keyzone1+2+checkpoint zone)
Just to point that out
If you cant be bothered to do that, r2e1 has 1 scout in the very first zone
But using the checkpoint on r7b1 is pretty convenient tbh

A bit of a curiosity about the visual design of the game: are there any interviews, videos or whatevs about what inspired the design of the rooms and atmosphere in GTFO? I swear that some of the rooms, with their green low light and floor-level fog, give off an Alien creche vibe.
as one of the devs once said:

there is some videos on youtube about the development of gtfo in its early days but to my knowledge they never said any inspirations to that design

Depends if main requires bulkhead or not and where in secondary that bulkhead is
yeah i'm pretty sure there are quite a few levels that you don't outright need to complete the objective, you just have to go far enough in it to get the bulkhead key
Like r5a1, main doesn't need bulkhead, so u can just enter first zone and get supplies, if the first zone has it
But r8b4 u need to complete sec for the door with main key to open and then ur kinda fucked

R1-R3 range, preferably
R1b2, whole entire level outside alarms and giants in the end is shooters
You can also wake rooms and practice dodging woken shooters and melee simultaneously

shoot the scouts and just melee the rest
2 of the 3 wings are normal enemies
tbh any A or B tier tha has some stealth its good to practice

or the easier way i do it, go to the alarm room, have one person pull the door and run towards u and shoot up the enemies there, it should be far away enough

enemies to my knowledge only scream when they are on a range of u, i forgot if its on the same room as u or one room away
but if u go those two rooms back u can shoot em and none of em will scream
the sound wont travel enough to reach the enemies on there
