Nah, they're not really needed. Many times me and my friends are like, this is the run, use boosters, only to wake up 3 scouts in a row like morons. Next run we don't use them and we clear it.

My take is that i do agree that boosters can make beginners develop bad habits (particularly supply efficiency, people tend to not learn that they need to shoot well, and they dont realize how ammo inefficient some weapons are, if someone always running it).

I do think relying on boosters 2 much can take away from the experience, However unless ur using perfect boosters u cant spam them anyways even if u want. So i think they're fine in that context.
