Cfoaming door is a good idea, yes

Putting sentry outside is not

It just wastes ammo because it simply slightly delays the horde breaking down a door.

Either mining the door in question or perma-foaming are far superior strategies.
With a mine you can blow up the entire wave (or at least 75% of it) and finish the survivors, then sentries will handle the next wave.
Or you have the cfoam guy continuously spray the door preventing enemies from breaking in for as long as he has tool refill. Its far more reliable, unless the door bugs out.
Although... I am genuinely curious just how much sentries can delay the door break. There are cases where that could be more helpful. R4C3 comes to mind...

Their aim is not that great, they will often take long range potshots even if their guns does not support it and they will shoot you too with it

For these reason giving them mid range low risk guns like assault rifles and machine guns seems to be the best bet

Tall boys... You start by hitting them to the back of the head (enemies take extra damage when attacked from behind and it stacks with a headshot), then you follow up by aiming for the limbs as fully-charged Spear and Hammer break them forcing a stun.

The biggest tip I can give for a beginner is to not run when clearing rooms. Walk to enemies and hit them in the back of the head for maximum damage. All the small sleepers can die from less than half a charge to the back of the head. The big guys you need to full charge in the back or limbs 3 times or 4 if you hit the front.

Also try to funnel enemies when doing alarms kind of like orcs must die, where you leave one door open and all turrets aiming there.

DMR has more support potential, while DTR has faster clear potential.

DTR is probably stronger when used optimally, just because it's capable of quite a lot as a Main weapon.

It has way more granularity, and is more synergistic than DTR, are the two main things that come to mind.

You could argue a skill issue as well, but a gun like Carbine is going to be far easier to get value out of if you need to kill things very quickly in CQC.

Like, I'd expect speedrunners would tend to run Carbine over DTR a lot of the time.

A big advantage for DTR is its kill eco, but despite what you might expect eco is really not all that important in GTFO most of the time.

1. Are rundowns essentially seasons? So each season they start a new "rundown"?
2. Seems like they have a set of missions, does that mean if I start on the current Rundown, I won't understand what's going on since I never did the old rundowns/missions/story?
3. Is it possible to access other rundowns to play with friends privately? I understand we don't want to do that here since it ruins the matchmaking and the purposes of the discord, but if there's like story content that I'm not seeing missing, I'd like to be able to access it so I can figure out what's going on as I progress forward.

For question #3, please don't provide instructions on how might do so, so no rules are broken.

I guess I'm trying to figure out should one care about not being able to access previous rundowns, and what am I essentially losing by not seeing them?

2. There are hardly any story elements in most missions, so you won't be missing much
3. Yeah you download the files from google drive or dropbox, and then either use a custom steam launch command or rename some folders

just some advice!
be sure to do the tutorial first [Training], start on rundown 1 since its the simplest one, ask to not be carried and make sure that everyone joinin ur lobby joins ur voice channel

the lobby doesnt work when connecting to wifi but works when connecting to phone hotspot
its wierd even my internet providor doesnt know whats wrong

There is a pretty consistent group of long time players and I've seen quite a few new people joining in and introducing themselves on the discord recently so I'd give both of those yes 🙂

If you look at the voice channels on the left you can see what the activity for LFG games is like (though it varies by time of day and is more active after a new rundown has been released, which is quite recently)

Yes, you can play with bots and take things at your own pace

It will become harder without other players quite quickly but its alright to learn the ropes on the first few levels with bots
