when im doing CMs and I bgs Tekton, sometimes I will not hit anything. But then the party defence tracker says I've hit an invisible 10.. If I hit nothing twice, it's 20. Does Tekton have some hidden mechanic where if your BGS misses, it still reduces it by 10 or is that a plugin bug?

I came across a Reddit thread about the new mage gloves and someone brought up a maximum damage boost. Apparently the cap is a 100% boost to magic damage? So currently with max mage I believe we have 24% which translates to 96% at toa. With the new boost/gloves this would go over this threshold.
However, I've never heard of this cap before and also can't find anything about it online. So I have two questions:
