@wet harbor the rate a raid takes is dependent upon your gear. if your gear is shit, the raid will take a while and you can make it take less time by having people with better gear tag along. for example, let’s say bis gear takes 20mins a run and shit gear is 40 mins, 2 people running with both shit and bis gear the raid will average to about 28-32 mins

although, doing raids with other people will make it seem as if time is moving faster since you won’t be stuck in your head and will have people to talk to

i would probably recommend on a non iron account to just do entries with more people even if you’re solely farming for a thread, since with ~5 people you’d have a legit chance to pull a 30m or so split by the time you got your thread

and in all honesty, the only way to shave an excess of time off the raid given that you know how to be most efficient is with shadow, tbow, or fang. Each one shaves 5-15 mins off raid.

tbow will cut 5 mins from zebak, shadow 5 mins from akha, fang 5-10 mins from kephri and baba, shadow or tbow will shave another 5-10 off of wardens

Got a weird question but trying to master everything at olm so.... when you get hit by the poison where you have to walk around the room has anyone got any advice on where to walk when doing duos or trios?

I usually have the role of melee

as melee hand you walk up and down, ideally maging on weapon cd dragging you across the area but staying on melee safespot or further right

as mage skipper you're continuing to turn the head, ideally maging on weapon cd

if you get acid as a runner in trio you're just running late, focus on not doing that rather than what to do if you mess up

scaling increases their stats by a bit per person (so yes they can hit more and have higher def)
for rooms: hp increases for every 2 persons (2, 4, 6, etc.)
for olm: hp increases for every person
also you can get more shamans/mystics/rope rangers & mages at certain scales (shamans can become very messy if you get that one layout)

never scale if you're still planking it just makes it harder for no reason

the spec is a magic attack; tekton, vasa crystal and melee hand all have dmg reduction for that

you can still use it to poke the crystal though, and it is good for all 3 vanguards bc it skips the accuracy check
