with the influx of new players to the isle and once the ht goes live I'm considering relaunching my discords unofficial. Simple rules, no mixpacking, no overpacking, no cheating, regular growth. working on getting some kind of a storage bot though as a QOL thing though

the difficulty of launching unofficial servers though is the playerbase only wants populated servers but dont want to help populate them. I'll see how this run goes though

Yeah it a tricky cycle, I saw another server go through the same thing of not being able to get people to populate them. Sadly every scheduled day they pinged everyone to try and jump on I was unavailable lmao.

But hey if you get yours going I'd absolutely be down to try it.

The complete lack of moderation on the official servers is just horrendous. I love this game and I want to see it do well but man, it feels like the devs are shooting themselves in the foot sometimes

yeah we launched our server initially last year around september and were doing well (50 - 70 players), then had the Carnivore Cartel slandering us to everyone for "admin abuse" because they broke rules and we enforced them. then horde test dropped and everyone disappeared.

Yeah do try Metta's Den, they have no mixpacking/overgrouping rules that are strictly enforced and very few player break those rules

nahh, the skin system in ht is very very dull atm without the things some people are using, but the selection will get wider as hordetest goes on until its complete at which point it'll release on main branch. Thats what i got from it anyways

A little hint for Rex, hide until you start getting fast, find a spot on the beach thats out of the way and has ai, grab gastroliths while you can during that time

I've heard a good way to get a rex started is to find an ai or some sort of meat and vomit, then eat diet to boost the growth rate to get through those slow first stages

Yeah, I usually find a turtle since they’re really easy to kill and have a lot of food, vomit, get a salt lick, fill y, vomit again and kill a deer to get my b diet full, but I wait until im 200kg to kill pigs… they scare me…
