Sounds are everything. You can know which animal by the sound of their calls. Deer and goat have a similar call and are the safe bet to kill. Boar's are obviously very distinct but as a juvi omni they'll two hit you.

As soon as you're like stage 2-3 you can pounce pigs and take them out that way, they're part of your diet like deer.

Depends - Couple of Dinos Nest frequently... its not bugged anymore if that was ur main question, however if u ask for eggs there is a higher chance getting nested

Just pray that you'll hear a deer and chase the sound. It'll be tough to kill it cus it's quite fast and dodgy. But if you find a goat, even though it's not on your diet, it'll sustain you atleast till you're grown to stage 2. Hopefully that way you can find a pig, pounce it, and kill it. And then you're well on your way.
