Everytime a new update is released in the game, they make the full game 33% off, not to mention -most- mobile versions are complete and free, its also crossplay, allows modding, and is relatively cheap for what they have coming. The fact it's still in demo is amazing, they admit themselves its a MMO game, i prefer that over the isle ONLY because it keeps my attention longer, the isle is rinse and repeat while there's a shit ton of things to do on PoT. E.G playing the mods, joining community servers, doing quests, growth (which is new), restoring lakes/waypoints, the unique ability/combat system, in depth customization (down to the bone literally), den customization and more 💀

But I dont really prefer any game over each other, i treat them both the same, i play for like a week straight, then drop it for a few months, then return lol

By the way the microtransaction system you talk about isn't to buy skins. A backer skin comes free with buying the game and you get to choose what backer skin you want on what dino you want, as for unlocking the dinosaurs themselves, that's fairly new as well, you can buy the whole package when buying the game, or buy whatever dinosaur you want. This wasn't even an option before, so most people who already own the game already have all of the things unlocked.

The skins you might think about are actually in game skins, you earn marks (currency) by doing quests which you can then use to buy skins/coins

Anyway, hope you understand now you cant just boil the game down to one thing, it's still in demo.

just saw dominion, and while I have mixed thoughts but an overall enjoyable attitude to the film, I have exactly ONE major complaint:

||if they were gonna do another dumb teamup dino ending, they literally in the closing sequence show rexy interacting with the buck and doe rex parents from TLW. Instead of a theri/rex/giga threeway, it ABSOLUTELY should have been a massive rex pack gangup on the giga. as much as I actually surprisingly enjoyed the therizinosaurus sequence, it would have felt more fitting to just be a rex v giga beatdown, imo. Would've played well into the theme of tyrannosaurs living in groups, too.||
