hi! its a bit tricky, because its not as simple as just updating the GFN servers.

theres two main factors here!
• Geforce NOW can only allow certain games, or else they risk being sued. Originally back during thr beta days, you could play whatever you wanted but thats changed now. The crashing after trying to launch evrima is (possibly) an unintended side-effect of GFN's security mesures.

which brings us to our next problem,
• since we cant fix the problem from GFN's side, we need The Isle to make evrima the main branch in order for us to play it. Obviously, switching the branches is a big deal, bigger than just us GFN players and the devs need to be in a good spot developmentally before the switch.

there IS some good news. punch said the team knows when they're switching the branches, and its "closer than we think." not to mention pre-production work has started on the Evrima trailer and the store page for Evrima.

Good thing you helped him. I think soon I might try raising green anoles since they're highly invasive in Texas, and well the weather here isn't best suited for them, at least in most places.

I know for green anoles, they're easy to maintain, just be mindful of the tank configurations, because they can easily escape. I have heard though that cuban knight anoles are hard to keep though.

When I first got my bearded dragon I got a tank bundle and it came with a carpet so I thought it was fine, man was I wrong. In her new terrarium I have her on a 70/30 mix of natural topsoil and sand. I think that could work well for leopards too.

Get a tank that’s taller rather than longer, they love to climb. Use substrate that can hold humidity, as anoles prefer higher humidity. Use lots of greenery, (fake plants will work) so they can use to hide and climb on. Always have calcium powder, some will use multivitamin, but not really necessary if you give it a good diet. As of lighting, a good halogen bulb and a uvb bulb. Go for the long tube uvb bulbs versus the coil ones since the small coil bulbs don’t last very long.

Yep, before I moved mine to its new tank, I got rid of the carpet and put a liner of paper towels while I built the other one. I kind of have mine now as a bioactive setup, using roaches, worms and springtails (though haven’t seen those guys in a long time). It’s mainly for bacteria and not for the poo since my dragons droppings are ridiculously sized. So that part of cleanup is done by me

For some anoles, 60 gallons is better, but green anoles are on the smaller side of anoles.

Ill be reussing a large dart frog tank that ill just have to test if i can keep the humidity in a nice range so it doesnt give him respiratory infections. But losing humidity shouldnt be aproblem for the tank or those mosses

I think most mosses thrive in the 70 to 90% range. However I do recall one moss that works in drier environments. I’ll have to find it again

If you can find moss from outside it can work normally, given that it’ll have gone through rougher stuff. I’ve got some moss I found on a rock in Texas, in a terrarium that I haven’t watered in months and it’s doing quite well

Sand is fine, as long as you use proper kinds of sand. Also you can decrease the chance of them getting sand on their food by putting it in a shallow bowl or dish.

Sands to avoid would be builders sand. This sand is meant to be packed down and will cause impaction in reptiles.
Also avoid the calcium reptile sand. This sand can cause risk of impaction because some reptiles will lick it for calcium, ingesting potential dangerous amounts of sand.

You can safely keep leopard geckos and bearded dragons on washed children's sand/play sand. Just keep their food on a small dish. Don't keep your reptile on loose substrate if it's weird and purposely eats dirt (extremely rare)

Agreed on previous conversation about bioactive setups. It is more expensive upfront but you save so much money and time in the long run.

I have a couple bioactive fishtanks and it's so nice not having to worry about water changes as often and the chemical levels are more stable too.

In terms of crickets yes, but dubia roaches and meal worms have difficult time crawling out of ceramic dishes. Also, bearded dragons eat mostly veggies so that was the main target animal for the shallow dish comment.

Even then, the floor outside isn't made of paper towels, newspaper, and tiles. Reptiles in the wild naturally pass small amounts of dirt and sand on the daily with no issue. As long as you're using a reptile safe substrate is can be on sand and dirt with no issue

The main reason petstores keep them on reptile carpet is because that stuff is supposed to be washed daily and not a permanent residence for the animal. Plus their nails can get stuck in it and they can hurt themselves.

As for paper towels and tiles as the floor, not very enriching for them. And you have to clean it daily as well.

Bioactive is easy because you just pick up the poos and the isopods and other cleanup crew take care of the rest. No need to replace the entire floor and disinfect the enclosure when a corner gets soiled.

You don't have to get bioactive. If you prefer to keep your lizards on tiles, or newspaper I'm not gonna judge you. Bioactive takes alot of effort to set up and get working. But please don't go around telling people they can't keep beardies and leopard geckos on dirt and sand because they'll die if they ingest any. It's better to educate on the proper way to set up a Bioactive dirt and sand enclosure than to spread fear and misinformation

Ya, I don't recommend literally putting only sand in the tank as substrate. You can't make a very good bioactive setup like that. The ideal substrate for bioactive would be dirt and sand. And if you want a more sandy desert aesthetic you put a thin layer of sand ontop. But ya nobody should be putting their lizard on literally just sand
