tenos prime is ass, it was balanced when it had 300kg more than cera/carno. now it has like 329kg less and 500kg less than cera or something

maia is ass because it doesnt break 40kmh till ~63% so its dead on sight, can run away from cera/allo, can actually fight but opts to run most of the time, then becomes slow again and has to go back to hiding.

Austroraptor RMB rework

Austroraptor's RMB functions as just another pounce, not much special going on for it. And while it works just fine, I think you could make something more interesting of it, especially for a playable that doesnt have combat prowess to make it as enjoyable as others.

I propose we give Austroraptor a jump aim while holding RMB like the Herrerasaurus. No new mechanics implemented, just an aim when holding RMB. QoL features like these that increase the range of what austro could do would really help make up for its lack of combat engagement and those who prefer less pvp playables.

• First of all, It'd help it navigate difficult locations which are abundant in its environment like weaving through mangroves or hopping between small surfaces on the water.
• Secondly, It'd be used to help hunt prey like fish or swimming targets in the water with a precise aim to help it land a hit instead of guessing a jump (which is difficult to get right from a distance).
  • On land, landing on a target while holding rmb after a jump will trigger the RMB pounce we have currently implemented, assuming its here to stay.
• Additionally, it'd be really great if austro could have a charged jump. Again no new mechanics, just like hypsi's, mainly used to increase distance rather than height to differenciate it from hypsi, but both is fine.

-# also maybe a little polarized vision ability where you can see/sense underwater targets from the shore nearby like the concept art would be nice.. maybe it could be like, hold RMB while using scent?

I think the developers of The Isle need to make the Austraptor's pounce not get canceled in water and work there too. Especially when fighting Barionyx or large semi-aquatic creatures. It would also set it apart from the others that grab onto things

i dont get the obsession with small dinos honestly, why have a kentro when you have a stego, why add oviraptor or magy when you could add gigantoraptor or diplodocus. people already dont like playing smaller dinos and they contribute much less to the ecological system. especially the magy is completely absurd and has no place in the ecosystem, a dwarf sauropod? the reason it exists is because it lived in an isolated environment that favoured dwarfism due to low supplies. there is nothing you can do to make it work in an environment such as the isle with apex predators and whatnot. im curious as to what counter arguments that could be given to this

Playing as any of the dinos that cant jump feels really bad if theyre slow enough because you can just walk on a pebble and get stuck while being chased, and if youre small the visibility is already awful with the foliage. Realistically a young rex or cerato would just step over the pebble or step onto it but instead it creates an invisible wall

I think there was talk of a mechanic for non-jumpers to step over small obstacles automatically in the past. Unsure if it's still planned.
