Alt rmb tail whip: Megalania slaps its tail in front of itself and it can be aimed upwards relatively high, it deals only 50 damage but also does minor fracture damage and stuns on headshot for things up to allosaurus' weight. Id say in terms of match ups heres my idea of a good megalania vs good enemies in the modern meta:

Megalania vs omni: id say megalania can win rather easily in a 1v1, especially if it can pin the omni down.

Megalania vs dilo: dilo is tricky, because while it is large enough to avoid pin, megalania also deals a lot of bleed and can dish out damage if the dilo isnt careful.

Megalania vs carno: id say in this fight megalania shouldnt be aiming to kill the carno, but its possible. Best chance of survival is to slap the carno in the face to stun it, then run into the underbrush or cover to lose it. Possible ambushes could lead to the carno's death by blood loss

Megalania vs cera: similar situation to carno but has more bleed resist. Similar self defense

Megalania vs Allo: avoid if possible and if it spots you, smack it and bolt into the underbrush, while it might be possible to kill it, if it grabs you, you are dead.

Megalania vs rex: also avoid, but just stay far away. Go to the burrow or water

Depends on the function of Megalania's venom and the way it's applied. If bites alone inflict it and it drains bleed or stamina well, it might tilt it slightly towards Mega, but imo it's roadkill anyway. I don't see Megalania truly fighting back against a Carno without it being really lopsided in Carno's favour.

i think you should make it so megalania is just.. not worth dealing with.

Make it slow when its just normally living about. Maybe like 35 kmh, with pretty average or even high stamina for its tier, and anything that finds it while its not in murder mode is just better off leaving it be. But when its in murder mode.. it can shoot up to heck even 45 kmh or something, but with horrid stamina, and lasts pretty short.

if youre like.. an allo and you find a megalania, you COULD technically mess it up, but at the cost of your life. youll just keep bleeding, and bleeding.. and god forbid you take damage from something else

So I would think it would either be useless on a solo meg or have to last long enough to truly make a difference

1: mixpacks will abuse literally anything, should we remove dilo and troodon venom because they can be used to blind in a mixpack? should we remove fractures because they can be used in a mixpack? should we remove literally every mechanic in the game because mixpackers can abuse them? No, the solution is to prevent the mixpacks from forming and/or harm them in ways outside of the creatures themselves

2: They can make the meg venom not super op. For instance, make the venom just prevent bleed from clotting. The bleed from attacks would still slow down like normal, but there would be a constant small tick of bleed that just stops it from healing. Then just give meg the ability to apply solid bleed on its own and it wont be as big of a problem in mixpacks while still being useful on its own. Since it keeps the target low and trackable while the meg slowly follows the trail.
