More immersive way to scent and know your stats would be cool but how to do it efficiently? Ig it's just often times best to do it simple way. I do love how stuff like stamina is visually conveyed in Outlast Trials, stuff like more grain and darkened vision and tunneling for example, or amnesia has the hallucinating and vision warping and ringing noise in ears when Daniel is scared.

in essence we get the old particle scent back, but instead of this beaming line of particles flying into you it's like a vague and subtle effect that only begins to pinpoint the exact location as you get closer

the biggest issue is that you'd need a way to differentiate dietary foods from useless foods with that old system

Troodon is extremely agile. They don't need to blind either, but the venom should obfuscate them. It's more mind games with Troodon. You can't just go in willy-nilly, you have to pace yourself and bait enemy attacks. With venom the way it is currently, everything is going to just run. It needs balancing. I say this as a Troodon player.

After you pounce and jump off a few seconds later your troodon will make a noise, you want to wait for each noise before pouncing again, if you press q whatever you pounced will be highlighted in green and after a few pounces it turns purple once theyre purple you do max damage with each pounce, the purple stage only lasts a set amount of time and will reset the venom stage back and you repeat until theyre dead

I should to find more Troodon savvy players. The number of times I get pinned and killed by other Troodons during a hunt, or they all just cling on and ride the prey, or just pounce willy nilly and reset stages... Omg it's painful. Me and my partner only play Troodon as a pair currently because of those issues. I'd rather take a fight with just the 2 of us. We managed to take down some big Rex's and Trikes with just us two. Of course most big things just hard log on us.

honestly not a huge fan of the new gradient system for skins, I like the more limited palette but demoing the new system without more than 1 template of colors makes all skins look sameish and bland, some nice skins can still be made but some animals are truly miserable looking rn
