No, I get that, I just think it's kind of lazy, and the idea of the endurance hunting giant monitor kinda belies the fact that komodo are actually active predators that often go for the kill immediately. Most footage of komodo shows them lunging at the face/neck of a target, and refusing to let go, rather than a bite and release.

Or they latch around a limb, and the act of attempting to wrench their leg free lacerates them and cripples them for the komodo to finish off, most of the time

there really is no indication that the komodo that shows up to finish the job on an injured water buffalo was the same one that dealt the injury earlier that day, or days prior, it's kinda just a recirculated wildlife myth.

I much prefer the idea of megalania relying on sheer force, with maybe some slight venom, rather than venom being the forefront of how they kill in game, like with dilo or troo

megalania already has enough benefits to not NEED to be that oppressive

• rot eater/diverse diet (like, there's no way it won't be, since deino and cera are)
• capable swimmer (possible diver)
• can climb at a young age
• can raid burrows
• venom

i personally think they should make it the only carnivore in the game capable of building burrows, and it builds incredibly large "dragon's den" type burrows where it stores food and stays hidden to avoid larger threats, since it is still a lizard and i doubt it's going to be very high on speed and stamina for its size

And @warm tusk .They only do because the hunger is a problem. Look back to spiro, where deinos were able to make huge groups and sustain themselves. You essentially would see large groups of like 8 adult deinos just congregate and kill any cannibals, while said cannibals would only get groups of like 2-3 because they eat everyone else. Hence preventing the larger congregations from dying and making the cannis only able to pick off solo players.

Main issue is that it runs into the same issue as increasing its hunger time, except the elite fish give nothing for adults but give a lot for growing deinos, who currently have no threats except bigger deinos (which isn’t a problem if deinos aren’t hungry enough to need to canni) and starvation. Once there’s other semi-aquatics, they can prob give more QoL for deino growth as now there’s actual threats.

dunno yet, most the servers aren't up save the two au and one eu in HT. the patch before this gave us a couple minor things, an update to the UI to make it cleaner/reflect food and diet percentage more accurately, and a fix to the camera lock when eating/drinking not snapping you to your immediate front

Honestly I can't even remember the last time I ever even bothered to fear checking for deinos when drinking at rivers now.

There's so few of them, that they're almost always either down at delta, fresh spawns, or the type who make treks to places like highlands lake where people go to avoid deinos when drinking, ironically, that the riverways themselves are mostly free and clear.

last time I died to deino was in the highlands lake, can't remember the last time I got snatched at a river that wasn't the delta area.

i was a juvenile (around 45-48%) diablo minding my buisness until two omnis ran up to me and started getting fiesty. it wasnt looking good, i didnt have the speed to really get them yet, nor the damage to punish the knockdowns i did get

eventually, it is raining and dark, and i have literally 0 other options, so i decide the ocean is my best bet. i start swimmin, hoping maybe i can swim along the coast a little and maybe make it to land. naturally, i did not. my stamina hit 0, i started sinking, my oxygen was dropping but not that fast. surprisingly, dibble can hold its breath for a while when a deino isnt crushing it. im able to maneuver my camera above the water and hold W to slowly drift towards a small piece of land that is basically unreachable by normal means. i managed to live by tricking the omnis into thinking i drowned, because i never saw em again

2. Growth time is not affected by how many prime tasks you do. It is defined by diet and growth %.

The won't always show up on the compass, and the zone does not need to be active. The green ones are migration zones, and the red ones are patrol zones. However, they don't always count towards prime, so travel to as many as you can.

So the zones need to be active for a player on the server to count.
the reason people get confused is cause a lot of people have not realized that.
So you don't personally need the migration zone to be active for you.
If you are worried about patrol zones, remaking a group or logging out and back in will reset your patrol zone so you can move to a new area, remake the group or log off and back in, and then get a patrol zone there.
I hope this helps.
the most common Migration zones I have found this update are Delta, Highlands and (North east plains, but this is still an ongoing test)

I have wanted patrol zones in migration zones. Each patrol zone has a different diet, so you get both and it would help people with requirements.
