Btw i just read a comment on YT saying that prime elders and adults are somewhat equally strong, while the elder has lower bite force etc. it is heavier. So it is not as bad as i thought. So entombing only enhances your mutations i guess (which is good but idk if i wanna do it with a big dino)

you can't choose a mutation you already have, they will stay and go into your inherited mutation slots. every mutation- chosen or not- will be at max buffs after your third entomb. they wont reset back to normal values on the fourth, they'll stay max

yes, inherited from your past lives (or parents if applicable) You'll keep each mutation you choose up till your fourth life, on the fifth you'll be able to choose new mutations. or the ones you chose on your first as those will be the ones that have faded to make room for new muts

What’s everyone’s worst experience on server?

Mine is when I found 2 big crocs and I was a baby, they fattened me up and helped me grow a little. They even helped me get my friend to our location, gave us some tips and tricks and then slaughtered us.

I still love the old idea of Troodon's venom being weight based in a sense. So certain stages can only be reached at different speeds on certain sized targets.

For instance; Dryo would only need two pounces to reach maximum venom rather than three, whereas a Tenonto would need the usual three. A Maia however could only reach stage one perhaps without the help of other Troodons. Somethin' like that at least. Bites could play a role too mayhaps...I unno.

apon ambushing and pouncing at a teno, you engage in a grapple 'tug of war' where the allo grapples onto its prey using its front limbs and jaws, the allosaurus must hold left click to push you to the ground with its jaws which will cost the allosaurus a lot of stamina. in response you have to hold left click to brace while he does it. if the allo holds right click to push down with its claws you have to hold right click, and possibly also an option to use both claws and jaws. the allo will try and be unpredictable with it to get you pinned to the ground so it can initiate a 'maul' (a faster kill version of pinning) however if the allosaurus goes below 40% stamina during this, the teno can escape. (the lower weight and stamina a target the harder it is to for it brace) this is how it will also work for group pinnings, however its much harder the larger the target.
its sort of how a lion will try and pin its prey to the ground to choke it

did this while pretty tired so its not the most detailed but i think its alright

From what I understand the way the hitboxes engage with eachother is very strange. Kick is one of those attacks that either has only one or very few active frames whereas pounce attacks have sustained hitboxes over a second or more. Ideally there’s an advantage check for attacks like kick that allow it to take priority over a pounce hitbox as it engaging with a pounce hitbox should usually mean the kick is being used on an animal who’s timed their pounce poorly and is being punished for it. It used to work this way but seems either super inconsistent or non functional now, pounces tend to win the advantage check trade because there IS no advantage check, at least anymore.

For the time being use talisman even though its damage is terrible, the pounce hitbox needs to collide with the body of the animal to trigger the latch so slam is the only consistent way to punish a poorly timed pounce (really wish alt attacks interrupted pounces too but oh well )
