You can stun fresh adult Rexes but they grow out of your range quickly. You can stun Rexes exactly your weight with specifically the shove version of right click biped. It’s an insanely risky fight but you can win it if you’re way better than they are.

I believe the gist is mostly because Ptera was essentially one thing: a spectator. It couldn't fight that well (and when it did, it was generally unengaging for the victims), was pterable on the ground, and flight itself was very simplistic. Just kinda gravitate forward and that's it. There was also the fact that scouts were a big problem (which I personally am skeptical about but I digress) with how lenient flight was.

Now, Ptera actually has more to do and interact with as well as having flight that's both interesting and requires actual skill

My point is more so that because PZ's work the way they do, you don't have to go to your MZ because nutrition can be gained everywhere else. The place Carnivores are told to find the herbivores (MZ's) is then empty devoid of life.

Herbivores should be moving with their MZ's and staying (relatively) close to them and not wandering the map. otherwise why have a Migration system. At that point you might as well just have a food buffet system

Then make the MZ's bigger in general, similar to the size of Delta's. So you are not confined to a small tiny area. The food gets spread out and you wander for the food. But you are still in a general area rather than wandering the map aimlessly.

Yeah like if ya need coconuts, go where the coconuts grow....and that's kinda it.
Only issue then is if your diets happen to be close together, you never really need to explore more of the map....BUT THEN AGAIN, that could also be beneficial if you're going for species being found in particular regions rather than trying to move them around the whole/most of the map.

Like Pachys having their diet plants conveniently grow on and near the coast, so that's where you'll find Pachy players period.
