I like how people always point out the pin suggestion video but fail to see the flaws in it (or any video made by people)

1: With Allo they wanted it to lock jaws onto things similar in size, and to move with them. Making it like Sparring would require more work than they would ever want to do, Rex alone took so long because of sparring. Now we want to add it to Allo, but for every single animal (due to allo being a variation of sizes). Then giving the ability to buck. This effectivly changes nothing other than making the mechanic more complex for the sake of it

2: The whole rip tear (and one allo at a time thing) exists just to remove pounce from Allo on similar sized animals. How would adding sparring be any less buggy than Allos current pounce?

3: The whole "1st stage, 2nd stage" is no different to what we actually have. Which is that the prey needs to be low on a resource to pin.

4: Having to weigh 4X something's weight is simply silly. Allo has to ambush Carnos to pin them, Rex has to ambush Dibbles or Maias to pin them. Omni is the exception and yes I agree it too should have to be 50% of its weight same as Allo & Rex.

5: The idea that a Dibble simply escapes a Trex and that the Trex has to chase after it is silly to me. The goal was to not be ambushed in the first place. Rex fractures things anyways, a Dibble (or other smaller animals around that size) should never be able to escape a Trex sucessfully ambushing them.

The conclusion
The whole argument is that they want it to be better for both sides, that I shouldnt have to wait in a 30 second animation to die because it's boring. The entire video could have been simplified by just increasing the current thresholds we already have for a pin to take place. It's unnecessarily long &overly complicated.

@idle roost and I nested in about 5 kids, only 3 of which survived an attack from a KOSing kentro. after i dealt with that (i killed the evil kentro. and smif. oops.), a group of 3 diablos pop up. im forced to swim across a small river and plant myself in a spot they really cant get to while i watch my children terrified in bushes, starving, and witnessing the diablos destroying their home nest

i managed to survive, the diablos gave up once they realized i was going to camp the hell out of that cliff face. still though, wouldnt call it much of a success
