it does because there's no counter play, you just die as opposed to troodon that you have chances to alt bite or fight back before reaching high dmg, raptors actually needing enough weight and a pack + not being the size of an allo.

Yeah I'd argue the main problem is that pounce is too forgiving itself

There aren't many reliable ways to remove someone and when you buck them off they can just jump right on top of you again

So now you have a pretty oppressive mechanic with barely any counterplay to it

Raptor pins anything 100% of its weight. And some animals, even above that.
So does Troodon.
Allo literally only pins things 50% of its own weight.

The only damn animal that is that exact same weight, is the fastest Carnivore in the game
