Ah. Well, you don't get venom until 50%, which is your primary tool for killing things. Not sure why you aren't faster than a taco (prarie dog) at this stage, but it won't be long before you are. It's tougher to play troodon, but the upside is that you grow quickly, so you'll be better able to get your diets (and prime) once you hit the second mutation.

If you run head first into the stego, tank a headshot swing while far within its hitbox so you tank like 2-3 more before you get out of the stun, yeah you’re not gonna have a good time. But if you play at the edge of stego’s range, when you get stunned the knock back will take you out of range, thus negating all follow-up hits and giving you stun immunity. Combo that with a second Rex who gets a free hit who gets a free hit and stuns the stego whenever you get hit, and that stego should never be a problem.

You could literally just have one Rex get intentionally hit, and have the other crush to prevent follow up attacks and go incredibly positive hp wise.
