No one plays hypsis or dryos enough to be a consistent diet, maia's are also pretty punishing with a similar combo that teno has with the tail > back kick... teno's are at least somewhat viable to hunt but you still run into the same issue as the dibble scenario but with its tail soaking damage in exchange for a stun/bleed depending on what you're hit with

I think permanent debuffs/injuries could be way to prevent players from playing like the game is a battle royale if done right. Glass bones however, isnt done right.
