Imo for deino grab, there should be ways to actually spot the deino before the lunge, but once you're grabbed, its needs to be gg. Otherwise people will just always free themselves and deino becomes unviable.

With 0 diets you have +0%, so effectively a 100% growth rate, aka the base growth rate.
With 1 diet you have +100%, so effectively a 200% growth rate, or 2x the base growth rate
With 3 diets you have +300%, so effectively a 400% growth rate, or 4x the base growth rate.
That means 3 diets makes you grow 2x as fast as 1 diet (because 4/2=2) which is why 3 diets is half the time of 1 diet
