I would not say stego is stronger than rex. It can kill a rex if the rex doesnt play well and the stego does. But if the rex lands the ambush and gets on the head, that stego dead. Plus Theri is likely faster than stego so its not gonna need to be as strong to deal with rex in particular.

1: tactile is technically not a stego only issue, its a separate issue. but yeah with it stego does have a lot of stamina, but that doesnt matter if the stego dies incredibly quickly, which is your goal as the rex.
2: their turn radius are about the same, so yeah stego can keep the tail facing the rex, thats kinda the whole idea of its defense, without it stego just dies on the spot. Same with its bleed.
3: Stego does have more stamina, but thats not saying much because even trike has more stam than rex.
4: Stego does stagger rex, but rex also staggers stego if it hits the stego at all with crush.
5: stego is only more probable to win if the rex doesnt know how to deal with the stego or the stego has the skill advantage
6: imo bugs should not be counted for balance discussions. Otherwise dilo should get giga buffed because its main mechanic isnt working atm.

essentially, stego has some advantages, but rex also has advantages. Its about how you use them. Not to mention, rex can decide when to engage the fight, so don't just sprint at a stego who knows you're there. Land an ambush and kill it easily, thats the main playstyle for rex after all.

If you mainly play Deino that is honestly understandable. It is far more luck and player dependant than any other creature in the game. You are also generally funneled much more aggressively into fighting your own species, so cannibalism actually kinda works for it.

Nah, even Rex can fairly easily sustain itself with its 2 hour food timer. Turtles and Boars provide more than enough to keep the ball rolling.

sadly, rex can sustain to prime off of ai only if you know what youre doing. rex can easily sustain to 75% if you jsut sit in a spot where you know ai spawn

i was able to keep 3 prime allos going off of only boars/deers. thats just how many are spawning currently. its insane

btw the zones only count if they are active. They don't need to show up on the scent UI to be counted, but they do need to be spawning food for someone to count towards the total.

Also, you can just leave and re enter a zone after lingering in it for a bit, and it'll count as multiple zones.
