i think im starting to understand isle combat? it's still not particularly fun imo but i can see the appeal

the idea of just having to sit there for 10 seconds while a rex sends you to the menu screen with no real way to fight back sounds annoying tho
anyways my main complaint is certain anims being kinda unclear, like, i can barely tell when im charging crushing bite on rex or if a trike is guarding during a spar

The trick is to slow down. Watch head movements more closely and focus on your decisions to commit to more than the active combat. As for pinning, they know and hope to add some mechanics that interact better so it's not one and done

I don’t really understand why people think they are just the same. Baryonyx and suchomimus play completely differently. Bary is fast, agile and does a lot of bleed. Sucho is slower, beefier, more of a stand my ground playstyle and doesn’t fully spec into bleed nor damage. Having a mix of both

As for mechanics, they’ll prob have similar attacks for the most part but sucho might be able to hold extra food in its throat to store for later. It’s not about mechanical difference but rather the playstyle of each animal
