So if I compare that to DayZ, that's the base goal for everyone, "don't die". But with the Isle, we not only have a mechanic encouraging you to die and start over... but UNLIKE DayZ we don't have "interactable goals" or things a dinosaur player would willingly set for themselves to make an objective willingly of their free will besides maybe nesting or entomb X times.. or infamous "prime" status which are all still only in line with the base "survive" that's already intuitive to the game's design in growing/food/water. What do you as a dino have to set as a goal as an example? Whereas humans may want to be "I wanna build a helipad up to get a helicopters" or "I wanna drive car" etc

Unofficial servers dont really have to deal with hackers all that much but if you play on official servers you will probably deal with them a bit. I have gotten a lot of fun out of the game over the years but I dont personally mind the development waits so I guess its up to you if you like sticking with a game for a long time watching it develop even if it has rough patches

If it outran several over giant playables then it'd probably be way more insufferable at being an aggressive herbivore than any other ever was. I like Allosaurus (it's my second favorite dinosaur after Dilo) but honestly I'm not really a fan of how it has the ability to pinslop. I couldn't even be bothered to use pin as Allo unless I was in a pack up against a Trike/Stego/Rex. I'd just use bite and claw swipe otherwise.

@urban comet just watched your vid covering bary's mentions in here and ngl, my hope is a lil restored because they've actually answered a lot of my concerns between what if it's cornered when water can't be something they run to and vice versa land, as well as it being flexible enough around deino that it stands at least a decent chance of not dying outright. Makes me even think they may have unique swim controls like strafing that deino doesn't have.
