I think Dilo is mostly fine, I just have some grievances with the clones biting people before they can even attempt to get rid of them.

And make the feet fall a tad quieter.

I mean, it's hard not acknowledge that: Allo and Omni have pinslop. Cera is just insanely strong, as usual and Carno is easier than ever with it's headbutt, the other carnivores are more forgiving and stronger, so of course people will play them more.

Dilo can't pinslop, it has to be a bit more picky about openings and it's not as engaging. Dilo is plenty strong though.

Pinslop is not engaging. I've grown several Allos and I only ever bothered using pin when I was in a pack up against Stego/Trike/Rex

No, but there's great satisfaction in instantly winning a fight.

Dilo's is a slower burn, not an instant kill.

There's a large chunk of people who play this game through a "class based, PVP" lense, they're not going to bother with Dilo anyway.

This has more players for sure, but people do still play Dilo if they can't all pick the instant gratification options.

Dilo definitely has seen better days. I think it's worth noting that Carno has gone through so many changes over time, and ironically I think Dilo was actually less of a Carno victim before Carno's downsize because iirc it wasn't as maneuverable as it is now.

I never asked for Dilo to "take on" Carno per se. I recognize Carno is bigger and that it should win the physical fight. The counterplay would be that Dilo has a way of escaping Carno in some way without dying, which it does a poor job of doing because there's not much you can do if a Carno sees you. You can't outmaneuver it.

"Just don't get seen" is a poor cop-out of a counterplay. Omni and Pachy still have ways to escape Carno if they got spotted by it.

I like how everyone agrees that Dilo needs quieter footsteps. Pachy is now the same weight as Dilo and still uses the small tier footstep sounds, Dilo should be like that as well.

im a new player and its a lot more relaxed, more optimized and the world graphics are better in my opinion, I haven’t seen any lagging and dying isnt as punishing, the quests are good because you actually are playing the game instead of afk for 8 hours as a trike in the isle, I personally found a community server where there are quests AND passive growth and I love it, its called yellowtones something I think yellowtones survival

Curious, how many people have been able to consistently get prime on herrera?

So far it's the only dino I struggle to get prime on consistently, and I believe it all has to do with how lucky you get at spawn. Whether you find diet in time before you lose it all or make it to sanctuary before you out grow it. Feels like when you first spawn in, diets, movement speed, how quickly you grow and the distance you are spawned from sanctuary works against you. I feel herrera either needs to have it's growth slowed down at the beginning, get spawned closer to sanctuary, or allow herrera to be in the sanctuary longer.

PoT is a very different experience than the Isle. If you want a less punishing, more stable and overall more optimized experience you can give it a go. Though Imo Isle beats it easily in graphics, movement and combat.

Eeh. I mean what Jurassic Parky in the isle model and sound wise is only the Omniraptor. Others are not. Also think PoT as a vanilla game is bad but modding elevates it to a bit higher position. Their sound design is..well you can say its more realistic or you could also say it has zero uniqueness. Also their raptors have similar to jp calls aswell.

I was relating my experience to the person who was interested in buying and you had said not in communities. Most of my experience comes from community servers in that game. So yes, there are some communities that have that playing style and some that do not because they have rules, same as the isle. I have a question.

Yesterday i entombed my troodon with the following mutations:
-less hunger
-less thirst
-more dmg against bleeding targets.

I respawned with full hunger and thirst.

I pressed Tab, scrolled through mutations and selected slower nutrition consumption. Took my like 1 minute. In this time hunger dropped to 1/4 while thirst was at 5/6. Nutrition dropped to zero.

I was able to catch something before hunger gets red and ate until 100% full. After like 2 minutes food and Nutrition was almost empty again.

Is this a bug? Before entombing i was able to go like forever without eating.

You grow fast when you are a fresh spawn juvie. That means your stomach will also empty itself pretty fast

if its doing this faster than when you last grew, it may be because you have more nutrients

if not, and things seem a bit too funky monkey,

i recommend doing a #🐞-evrima-bug-reports-🐞 form on it, theres a possibility the mutations are bugged

also food drain mutation doesnt slow down nutrient drain i think

i cant confirm this so dont hold it to heart

I'm afraid Spino will just end up being a giant chunk of meat without Murder Sprint. It’ll probably spend all day eating land AI or turning cannibal, because there’s no way they can consistently find enough Deinos or fish to survive. Especially with the current Deino growth curve — you can spend hours playing and only get about 500g at 50%. Then most Deinos just end up starving because their growth suddenly spikes afterward

What I’m more curious about is how they’re planning to restrict semi-aquatics to the environments they’re supposed to inhabit.
If they go with something like Deino’s high water requirement, I think most players will just find it annoying.
Maybe they could implement a “moisture” mechanic instead, kind of like a hippo system. If you stay too dry for too long, you’d get minor debuffs — like slightly reduced speed or damage.
Otherwise, having to constantly stop and drink water just feels tedious
