I doubt they will abandon gateway, what I think will happen is either A: they might just do that and if so ok
or likely option B: they stop working on gateway and instead focus on a new map like how path does it
or C: they work on both at the same time

We had 2 coexisting maps in legacy, neither was abandoned they weren't finished only thrown away since the game was remade. Spiro was made in a rush when spero died and fixing it would have heavily delayed Evrimas release. Gateway is out first real planned map thats has had real developmen to it I doubt they are going to ditch it rather then finish it then move on.

rex has insane turn, insanely fast alts, a seperate alt that stuns and sets up crush, has every ai on its diet, 120min starve timer, efficient makes it 144min or something, does fracture with lmb, hold rmb, and crush, can pin/flip anything ~71% of its weight, can stun anything i dont even know 1.7x its weight? with crush, easy as hell to grow due to ai, easy as hell to pilot because of all its very fast tools and turn, easy to survive as due to ambush speed, etc lol

and then you have trike. trike cant turn worth crap early, later, and at peak. trike dies to 2 prime ceras in the open. trike has to use walls or it dies to a cera. a c e r a.

I'm excited for mods, because I played og legacy where semi-realism servers had their own map, own balance hell even own extra playables.

There was so much option. You couldn't really get bored.

Also modders and devs don't have to race with each other, I hate this constant competitive bs that some of the ppl have. They will work both on making the same game better/more variety etc.

Also, chat, I am currently at an impass.
Plotting and scheming for a community event right now, and I am trying to decide between having 32 players, or going up to 64.

64 would be far more chaotic, and obviously more people would be involved, but it would take way longer to actually complete the event, and I might have to bring in like 10 completely random people to fill slots.

But if I go 32, the game would be far more streamlined, might be finished within a reasonable amount of time, would be easier to organize, but a decent few iconic community members wouldn't be able to attend just because the roster of players would be culled.

This is truly a conundrum, a pickle, if you will.
