That only works to prevent random instances of mixpacking, and even then, just survival requirements makes it a soft deterrent, or an additional challenge at worst.

For coordinated groups that doesn't really solve anything, you need to take more drastic measures for that.

Really the end goal shouldnt be the absolute prevention of mixpacking, but severely mitigating it to the point where moderation becomes feasible.

Depends a lot on the situation, your best bet as the sub rex is to spot the adults from afar and attempt to make as much distance as possible between you and them while also blocking line of sight and managing your stamina

If you manage to make it a significant hassle to track you down I’m sure most players wouldn’t bother giving chase but if the chase starts with them being much closer to you ya might have to put more effort into losing them

Bug, it happens for land animals too, you kill something and it tries to go into your mouth, but instead rag dolls up and then flails back to the ground

Like a good example is Ever since the elder update you just dont grab things anymore. Like if a raptor jumps in pre elder update, you bite it, and its in your mouth automatically, easy to bring to land to eat.

Now you bite it, and it dies but then you gotta swim back around and try and pick it up now lol. That in combination of how small the hit boxes are for grabbing stuff makes it feel impossible at times lol.

tbh the games difficulty is on baby mode rn, i like the extra challenge. it feels a bit crowded when its got a high player count tho for sure

Aight, top to bottom... roughly.

Increases view distance, increases anisotropic filtering, tweaks the ambient occlusion (I can't tell if it's better or not, just different), adjusts the color settings without killing the saturation, skylight intensity, gamma, sharpens the image a little, that last one in the second section I'm not sure but it makes the scene a little softer looking... sets the reflection method to use SSR instead of lumen reflections because lumen reflections are completely broken right now, adjusts SSR, changes Lumen Global Illumination a little... tbh the toggle there is just because sometimes I turned it off to test. Adjusting lumen settings a bit for performance, while also making the foliage look a decent bit better, some lumen settings for when it's interacting with fog, I don't know what effect it has but performance does go up a little, and then some nanite adjustments, I don't know what the defaults are, but performance was helped a little by those, and I didn't notice a difference.

The last one is just Ultrawide support, might be outdated but I haven't tested the game without it in a while.

The general idea is to outweigh the performance costs of increased view distance, and the natural cost of lumen with some adjustments. Thus far I have gotten it to run slightly better than the default game with lumen enabled.
