The whole point is to hopefully change the ratio of carnivores and herbivores to be more herbivore sided. Carnivores should be difficult to play, and should have a higher skill floor than herbivores of similar size in every category. Also once again, the point of the herbivores being stronger than carnivores in a straight up brawl, or at running away, means that the carnivores have to plan their hunts and actual be strategic in order to get the edge. If you're walking up to herbivores out in the open with no strategy then you deserve to be flattened or left in the dust

There are only 2 things in Troodon's venom that is benefitted by having a larger group

1. Getting Venom up a stage
2. Adding an extra second to stage 3 for each pounce

Aside that those it doesn't really have anything to encourage more group gameplay

What would you like the venom to do ? A troo in 3rd venom stage deals 100 damage and the venom also drains your stamina makes fog like dillo and also makes u hallucinate but only sounds as far as i know

Idea - Random Debuff on pounce during Stage 3
When Troodon pounces on Stage 3 Venom it will apply a random debuff, the first time it is applied during that stage 3 it will last 10 seconds, if applied again after that it will stack the duration for an additional 5 seconds, if it is night the durations will increase by 20%. When stage 3 ends the debuffs will continue until they end, but pounces will not apply more debuffs until stage 3 happens again.

Debuffs:

• Increased Stamina Consumption
• Decreased NV
• Distorted Hearing
• Increased Bleed from Troodon Attacks

After ragequitting this morning I haven't touched my engine.ini edit at all. Because I realized that half of this wasn't actually doing what I wanted it to, and is incapable of doing such things.

So it's back to the drawing board for a bit.

The Isle has the unholy combination of... when the devs were exporting the game, they set reflection method to lumen in the project settings, and disabled all hardware RT support.

Meaning the reflections are forever doomed to be... kinda ass until they change it.

Most of these are settings changes that I tweaked myself in UE5, and then exported, and dumped into The Isle's config. I was always really confused when nothing worked correctly, or worked like how I had tested. Turns out there were just some things that couldn't be overcome with config changes.

Conversely I also somehow managed to make certain things look WAY worse than normal by trying to force more advanced things.

Take r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.ScreenTraces=0 for instance, this basically just tells lumen to not rely as heavily on screenspace global illumination, and instead rely more on the whole environment to illuminate the scene. Unfortunately, when using software lumen (Which The Isle does) the probes that are used to guage the rest of the scene off camera, are significantly weaker than they should be while using Hardware RT. Meaning I had nerfed the screenspace GI, the only thing that software lumen was good at... I'm an idiot.

Normally, if you are using hardware lumen, disabling screenspace probes vastly increases the quality of the GI. I had always been super confused when testing why it looked like it was doing things incorrectly... turns out, The Isle just isn't capable of doing it.

Peeves me off, but now at least I can do things the right way.

Because lumen is only using screenspace information, when pointing your camera at the surface you are capturing only the back half of your creature. Meaning the reflection cannot understand what the front of your creature looks like, and why the space on the floor in front of your creature is also obscured! Because lumen doesn't have access to the additional information necessary to fill in those gaps! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW

I think it's just a new patch in general. The past few patches have had HT and Evrima paired up. I'm on the new HT patch now and I'm able to access Unofficials. So I don't think this is a major update. Likely a patch for minor issues.

You can, but it seems certain bushes are more finicky than others. I grew a maia on officials mostly fine. Some bushes never gave me an eat prompt, some did after fiddling with my position, some do immediately. Its weird.
