i can not stress how much i would avoid officials as a new player simply due to how cut throat it can kinda be

officials have the highest amount of cheaters (ESP, range hacks, damage hacks, etc). they also have the worst amount of mixpacking/mixherding as a good chunk of Unofficials have severe limits on those things

Just the survival already is enough to think about, then you have the checklist to sprint around the isle for a chance to hit prime and then also nesting and also taking care of your offspring is a challenge.

I don’t understand this prime elder cause I got to 80% and the mutation slot wasn’t showing anything so i couldn’t choose a mutation and had all my nutrients full

It's immediately after choosing adult stage (3rd) mutation, which should be 75, but yea same thing really. There are I think 4 requirements you need to meet someone correct me if wrong. Not just having nutrients.

But getting at least a little bit of each nutrient means you had reached perfect diet, which you can check in your profile screen. Obtaining perfect diet once grants you one requirement done.

The requirements are sort of hidden but my go to is get perfect diet, reach sanctuary area as a juvenile. Then I usually just make sure I go to 2 migration zones and 4 patrol zones along the journey to adult.

Just live out your whole life and entomb, it’ll respawn you with all your previous mutations already equipped and buffed

Basically, reach 100% growth, entomb and respawn again.
When you entomb you carry over all your mutations and they all get buffed.
This stacks 2 or 3 times, and then you'll have a super herrera with like 12+ muts.
Or, y'know, you'll die as a baby and lose it all and reset back to base.

No.1 tip: stop believing death is a failure or game over screen. It's not like other games where you go back to a previous checkpoint and redo progress. Every life is a different journey, enjoy it from the second you spawn in, whether it's sanctuary wars or being part of a nesting group etc. Death is a part of the gameplay loop

Even if you reach a 100% growth do you know what the game will do? Just indirectly kill you with weak stats due to elder system.
It's all part of the challenge.

Oh yeah, I highly recommend playing on petits pieds. It has 400 players on the map and a bunch of quality of life features such as dino storage, buying selling, minor rules such as no mixpacking. Lots of interaction.

They offer essentially the same experience, while having rules against mixpacking and overpacking and since they each have only one server to take care of their small admin team is able to enforce those rules and punish cheaters more easily

I have 500+ hrs on this game. I die every 3-4 hours on average.
I'm pretty sure people who have 2000+ hrs also die the same amount.
Its nothing to do with skill. You survive the isle until you don't

There's many ways you can get better and not die early. But often it's not under your control. A random thing will kill you anyway

If you have headphones join a VC group with omnis on the petit discord and just follow em around, see what they do, coordinate with them, let them lead while you play safe.
Eventually this will teach you a lot of things and you'll gain "survival confidence"

Galli is the fastest dino in the game.
But it's also pretty fragile and requires a lot of situational awareness cause it can't tank anything.

Someone mentioned beipi up there, that dino is small but reallyyyy fun. You have basically unlimited food and water, can travel fast with dolphin mode, and can kill most babies trying to swim in your area.

Only way to get muscle spasms as a herbivore is to eat certain kinds of plants that aren't on your diet (I think Sumac?). I imagine it's on their prime checklist, even if you'd have to do something extraordinarily stupid to un-check it. I feels like herbivores need to hit way more zones compared to same-sized carnivores, though, which is way more annoying than "just don't be a cannibal".

What is the anticipated final playable count for the game expected to be?
I ask because I noticed that the game is fast approaching a playable count of 1/4 the total number of players allowed on an Official server. Obviously some dinos get played more than others, but kind of curious what the vision is for dino distribution and populations on Evrima, once the game goes live. (Obviously these numbers skew heavy on Unofficials which can have pops in the several hundreds.)

Man, they should break the roster down by rough geologic timeframes, then you have a "kit" of Dinos that are playable in each timeframe. So, for example, NA2 is set to Jurassic and so Stego and Allo are avail, but Rex and Trike aren't. And then you can have overlay of niches dinos fit, based on what timeframes they are in.
