Sounds like everything should be ok then, hopefully it's just that you need to move around on the nest to make it recognize what you're doing. Generally it works best when (to put it bluntly) your ass is right over the middle of the nest

I had to delete the "easy anti cheat"-folder in the "TheIsle" games folder of steam, then verified the integrity over steam and then restart my PC. It worked after that for me.

@thin oracle Try a clean installation. Essentially uninstall The Isle through steam then navigate through your steam folder to where The Isle folder is located and delete it, afterwards just reinstall The Isle through steam. It'll ensure any corrupted/missing files are completely erased and replaced. It tends to solve these problems in comparison to a normal uninstall/reinstall.
