Sometimes adjusting the sensitivity slider will cause inversion, I don't think that bug's been fixed yet

It launched after that

Last week I was running The isle perfectly fine, for the past couple of days my game has been completely unplayable. When I try to play the game my laptop freezes entirely. When I click out of the game my game goes back to normal. I dont understand whats happening and how to fix it. But I can say i've tried

I don't think scent works for me. Was playing as dryo and hypsi and there's no icons for food or water popping up anywhere, not even when I was right next to the food. In vids there's a leaf or the diet marker, but I got nothing. It showed up very briefly after I ate a diet plant as dryo, walked a meter away, sniffed, scent was gone. Went back to the plant and I couldn't even smell it.

As far as the black screen/loading issues go. The only answer so far is that it might be fixable by editing your Nvidia 3D Settings control panel.
(This bug is known, please be patient as the game is worked on.) Also try fully uninstalling and reinstalling the game using the directions here in pins.

Yeah but legacy is running on a massively outdated engine with very limited physics. It's like running a very old game (Lets take COD 4 as an example) it will play very smoothly but the second you try to start up a modern one (Like let's say Call of Duty: Warzone) the issues start popping up.

You said your CPU runs at 100% and I've noticed you're trying to run the game on a dual core CPU , I'm almost certain that's the issue at hand, your CPU is getting overloaded by the physics engine. I'd certainly look into upgrading that, you can get some great CPU's nowadays fairly cheap, even cheaper if you're willing to go 2nd hand.

Any chance you could also let us know what graphics card are you currently sporting?

Edit: It's also summer, alot of people may experience their CPU's overheating which significantly reduces performance due to thermal throttling, it's wise to have something like HWMonitor installed (https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html) to monitor your temps.

Mmm. Try check the if you have latest version of the game. Check if your computer can handle it. Then try something little more drastic:

1. Check if your drivers are updated. Check the OS updates (just for sure).
2. Verify the files on the Steam library. (this should be helpful).

delete all your local files (so go to your localappdata folder and delete theIsle folder, and delete the game folder from wherever you installed it) then go into your steam library and uninstall the game from there
close steam
next you'll want to go to where you installed steam (usually under programfilesx86 in C drive) go to appcache and delete appinfo.vdf
restart your computer, launch steam, and install the isle but do not launch
go back into your isle installation, delete the easyanticheat folder, and then verify files

if that doesn't work get help from someone smarter than me lol

As far as the black screen/loading issues go. The only answer so far is that it might be fixable by editing your Nvidia 3D Settings control panel.
(This bug is known, please be patient as the game is worked on.) Also try fully uninstalling and reinstalling the game using the directions here in pins.

This has been the solution for most people lately who don’t have the EAC bug fixed by just validating the files. Just deleting the Saved folder and then verifying right after.

I believe its because the animations are just video clips. So it may play through the correct audio device.

To set it to read only you right click > properties > Click Read-only near the bottom and then apply

delete all your local files (so go to your localappdata folder and delete theIsle folder, and delete the game folder from wherever you installed it) then go into your steam library and uninstall the game from there
close steam
next you'll want to go to where you installed steam (usually under programfilesx86 in C drive) go to appcache and delete appinfo.vdf
restart your computer, launch steam, and install the isle but do not launch
go back into your isle installation, delete the easyanticheat folder, and then verify files.
