Hi, I'm stuck on the Hordetesting branch and can't switch back to the public Evrima branch.
Even after uninstalling/reinstalling the game and selecting "EVRIMA Public Branch" in Properties > Betas, it stays on Hordetest.
When I launch, it's still the test version. I've tried verifying files and deleting %localappdata%\TheIsle\Saved\Config, but no luck.
Any advice to force switch to public Evrima? Thanks

Hello! I have a problem running The Isle Evrima after the update to Unreal Engine 5.6.
My laptop (Ryzen 7 5700U with integrated graphics) crashes with a DX12 error (GetClockCalibration) every time I try to play.
I have more than 1000 hours in the game, but now it does not run at all.

What I already tried:

• Updated Windows to the latest version
• Installed the newest AMD drivers
• Verified game files in Steam
• Lowered all graphics settings to minimum
• Disabled overlays (Discord, Steam)

None of these steps helped.

Also, my friend with a desktop PC noticed a huge FPS drop (around 10 FPS even on lowest settings).
Is this a known issue with UE5.6? Are there any plans to optimize Evrima for integrated GPUs or improve performance on mid‑range PCs?

It’s the fact you are using just an integrated GPU, it’s not compatible with Evrima due the feature sets being used in UE5.6

I'm having trouble playing The Isle, and unfortunately I don't know which channel I should post this in. In short, my problem is that my game simply won't start anymore since I enabled anti-cheat. After I start it, my screen is black, and if it crashes, I have to restart my PC to be able to stop the game.

yeah i know what you mean and sadly when i do uninstall the whole game and reinstall it i have to tweak some commands in my pc because then the isle gets the message when i try reinstalling it "content file locked" so i have to run a command in my pc then i have to clear steams download cache and it lets me install it again

but this is my bug if anyone can give a poor soul a fix to it

also whenever i go back to the main menu the isle gives me a pop up and it says "SubSystem steam failure" or something like that

but yeah ive had this problem ever since the new update dropped

When I got off of the isle and changed to like discord for example, the gamma fixed on the stream. I've had this issue for a while now, it's probably not an evrima issue but discord itself, but I genuinely have no clue how to fix it or why it only does it with the isle specifically and not other games i stream

legacy servers are notoriously hard to connect to, better off swapping to evrima and even trying what kouga suggested, using the hordetest branch (its on the same version)

Last time it went down they wiped all Dino’s on that server. I just switched to US 8 and now it’s down too. I’m going to lose my mind if my Dino is gone. The biggest part of this game is surviving hours to grow your Dino. For them to just wipe a server and not honor all those hours by replacing your Dino is awful.

Whoever has pinning powers please pin this so whoever has this problem in the future they can be told to look in pinned chats.

So if you have a problem with servers loading and it says Network Connection:ERROR

Or if it says Steam SubSystem failure like in one of these screenshots.

How you fix it is you uninstall the isle then you uninstall steam. Then reinstall steam and the isle and your good to go and you should be able to connect to servers again and play evrima again!

No. Before my GPU was using only 60% and the CPU was being used 80%-90%, now it's the other way around.

I simply opened The Isle, and instead of the black screen, the start screen appeared, but I couldn't do anything except move my mouse. After a while, an error message appeared, which I could dismiss, but I couldn't close The Isle itself; I could only close it by restarting the computer.
