Can ya'll tell me if this is something Im doing wrong or if this is some type of bug?
While playing herrera, the icon for where your going to land never goes any further than directly below my character. I have tested this at various heights and at different growth rates. But I was just watching a herrera player on YT and their displayed the ability to jump forwards.
I can get a recording of this if it would help. Perhaps its just an issue in my setting but im not sure. It does put quite the damper on playing herrera to not be able to use its main attack.

that's completely normal, you need to align yourself in the branch to have a clear vision, so the system only recognizes the ground as an obstacle

usually when I play Herrera I let myself upside down in the branch, looking completely down, so I have 100% of ground area to jump

Nvm just figured it out. You have to join that server & it loads into your dino's for it to show up on your pc server list.

So I think it saves your server data in a cache somewhere so no data loss, thank god

Hey Just thought I'd ask here in case others have encountered this bug, has anyone encountered a bug where you try to drink from a small water source like a Pond or small Pool and the animation kind of just bugs out and returns to an Idle position? Initially it was just ponds but now it's spread to large bodies of water as well

Probably not, deleting the config folder resets all settings and should be enough, deleting the whole saved folder will remove any saved skins.. to reduce the CPU usage cap the FPS below what you normally can steadily achieve, example is if you can get 80fps, set the cap to 60fps and so forth

The effect and materials are set to low, set them to epic and see what happens... Some flickering is normal in trees as the shadows are moving with the trees themselves and with the moving sun, can cause a dappling effect aslo seen in RL as well

Is Ping a common issue? Ive been able to play 2 times in a 9 days. Both times were in the same day. All the servers are 100+ ping and completely unplayable. I have a 300+ download speed and 70 upload. All my ports are open and no antivirus software. Edit: I've only tried unofficial 1 time to see if there was a difference.

At 70% CPU one or more of your CPU Cores maybe hitting 100% effectively bottlenecking the PC preventing your GPU from being used to its fullest... try this, set your FPS cap to either 60 then 30fps and see if that helps (also update your GPU Driver as well)

My theory is that the GPU gets overloaded trying to reach a too high FPS and losses the battle to upscale properly, in your case I think you have the CPU as the limiting factor, your GPU is just chilling so no DLSS issue 🙂

Limiting your FPS is mostly a good thing to do as it reduces the chance of bugs, and performance is more consistent with less heating and strain on the PC .. unrestrained (uncapped) FPS is bit like driving a car with your foot hard as possible down on the accelerator all the time, not great for the car ( people with weak PC's have no choice of course)

It may, in task manager under CPU you can right click it to separate it into the logical cores, watch what happens to each core, if one hits 100% then you are limited, obviously try the 30fps cap to see if that helps somewhat

This c ould go past just the isle tech support in general but its worth a shot anyways where i can get a quick response.
never before has my PC ever shut itself off due to overheating, but for some reason when I launch the isle (and helldivers too) the temperature gets REALLY hot, like to 90+ celcius before coming back down when im finally loaded in the game.

A good example is I start up the isle, its loading, my CPU skyrockets to 90+ C (if it reaches around 96 my pc turns off)

if it doesnt hsut my pc off, I get into the main menu where my PC will then return to normal gaming temps around 60-70 C

but then if i try to load into a server, it does the 90c thing again and crashes my PC, i heard that putting an FPS limit helps? I put it to 165 and it didnt crash but it still got dangerously close in the 90s. I am using a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and a 4080 Super

also, the idle temperature on desktop with notihng open will fluctuate from high 40's (like 45-48) and then randomly do this, anyone know why tf my clock is at the max speed even if my windows power plan is on balanced 😭

hello, i haven't played the isle evrima in awhile and now i have noticed that the game refuses to run on my dedicated GPU, auto selecting the integrated intel GPU and i end up having less than 20 fps even on low graphics. Is there any way to fix this? I have tried several trouble shooting methods, my drivers are up to date, i have tried manually selecting from the windows settings my dedicated gpu and selecting manually for the game to boot with the correct gpu but it does not seem to work. if the isle uses your integrated GPU you would be having the Dx12 error, seems like your laptop is just splitting some tasks between them, which is very normal

if you mean through the nvidia app, i did that, it showed that it changed my graphic settings to cinematic, but once entering the game there was no change, the settings just showed as bland. Or if you mean lowering my graphics, i put everything on low and it did not help at all

no no, Nvidia app optimization is really bad

and yeah, optimizing the game is basically

• deleting config folder
• lowering most graphics + 3d resolution
• clicking apply after joining a server

okay.. just did that, got around 50 fps for the first 3 minutes of being in a game then it avaraged around 20fps, this being on low graphics. I'm still not sure that it's using my dedicated gpu, it's barely being used which is odd.

i just booted hunter: call of the wild to test the fps there, it shows my GPU being used 80-99% whereas in the isle it shows barely 20%. I still got low fps on that game, could it be my thermal paste? I have had a similar issue almost 2 years ago and changing the thermal paste fixed it, though it is a bit early, i heard the paste replacement should last 3-4 years

........... I just bought this game... and i;v been waiting 2 hours in queue, I have joined the queue 8 times, wait my turn, and then when it is my turn it starts to load me in, then kicks me and says "disconnected" the server is full. Great first experince of the game... whats going on???

its a common bug that happens when the queue is either too long or when the game make a mistake to put 2 people in the same position, leading to the disconnect

can be useful if you try to join other servers, to see if its really the long queue issue

Other people who seem to have fixed this used one of these troubleshooting steps:
Reinstall
Verify files
Deleting the config.
Turning off your VPN.
Switch to legacy and back.

Others say they had to wait some time, keep trying to join, or even wait for the next update.

If you are experiencing issues with your controls since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

Still getting DLSS bug... whenver it's not on "Off", which makes the game super ugly, I get this:
