The size of a game has little to do with how it runs. Evrima is on the newest version of Unreal Engine 5 and requires software to make parts of the engine run. If your computer can't run that software, it can't run the game

Hello! I have couple specific issues. First, my game will routinely fail to launch. The Easy Anti-Cheat initialization window will display, complete initialization and move to "waiting on game..." and then will close, nothing happens and a few seconds later steam will go from "Stop" to "Play" . Secondly, each time I get the game to actually launch after 5-6 attempts, it always starts in a very small box as if it is in Windowed mode, but the settings screen will show Windowed Full screen. I have to change it to Windowed, apply, Windowed Full Screen, Aplply. This happens every time I get the game to eventually launch.

Hello, good evening. I have a problem where the game never starts, just freezes in the loading screen, this has been happening for months now. I have tried verifying, uninstalling and installing again, deleting steam's cache, i've tried what it said on the channel #pinned-troubleshooting (but honestly maybe i just wasn't able to understand it correctly, im not the fastest person), i've watched plenty of videos, etc. Also i have to clarify: even though i can't play the game most of the time, in rare occasions it actually works and doesn't freeze but these occasions are so rare i can literally count them with one hand, also my pc is a good one so it should be able to run The Isle Evrima... I'm just gonna be real I'm getting real tired of trying to get the cannibalistic trait. I've been trying to get it once for countless hours on various species with nothing. I just wanted to try it once.

I've looked up multiple videos, I've looked at tutorials, I've eaten my own corpses, I've eaten three full bodies of others before, and I just want confirmation of its existence at this point.

Like I would completely understand if it was removed due to how toxic it makes the game frankly but I can't find any sources that have made that crystal clear. As far as I know it's still a mechanic that exists.

I would also like to know for certain if I can get the mutation on the third slot or if it's a second mutation exclusive.

Because I know for sure I've eaten multiple raptors on one server and still haven't apparently eaten enough to get the mutation for the third slot..

hello folks...game is having some esoteric launch errors for a friend
ive detailed the nightmare here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/376210/discussions/17/600776251365416678/ and im sharing here too because the advice im seeing on the forum itself is things we've already tried

i have been on call with said friend for hours and off call trying to fix it since. we are now 8 hours deep into trying every random fix we find, and i am on the verge of refunding the games and going abck to PoT 😔

Try this, might help

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

My PC has a tough time handling the Evrima (im playing on a hordetests rn if it matters) and I tried to lower the settings and while it's all smooth with no lags and looks great, my PC is heating up like a volcano and it turns itself off on its own (when the game makes it overheat I assume? it doesnt happen with any other games, only when I play Evrima for some time).

Any recommendation to how I can make my PC heat up less/how to lower my game's settings further to improve the situation without completely destroying the graphics? (I added screen of my current settings below).

My PC specs are also screened and attached in case somebody asked.

alright, basically overheating happens when one of your components (or all of them) are working too much and producing the heat

it would be nice to know which component is starting it

but, for a general fix, you can just lower the FPS to a number where the components are chill

or can try optimizing the game again

As for FPS, I lowered it to 60 fps and it's still overheating unfortunately, 30 fps would probably give me a pretty crappy gameplay
Not sure how to optimise the game otherwise

personally I like MSI afterburner, it shows me everything in real time when I'm gaming, so I can keep an eye on temperature, usage, Vram, energy, etc

Each time i try to load the game. it crashes either on main menu or beforehand. Also manually allowed it on Norton, Disabled every overlay on pc. Restarted PC. Reinstalled the game. Its a common issue that the game needs to fix

Amazing, decided to backup the game files and then restore after failed out of mem fail that lead to EAC problem last time,. This restore works for a few, then starts download and install process all over again, amazing, 10 min. If integrity check starts pausing again, im not playing this again until someone has a workarouned
