Is it normal for GPU usage to be high when Im having higher frames, but it gets gradually lower the lower my fps gets, for example in spots with multiple bodies/players my fps drop to below 60, but so does my GPU usage. I've discovered a fix! Turns out that by changing the date and time in my PC from "automatic" to "manual" solved the issue. Not quite sure how or why, because it was accurate to my local time anyways. but thought i'd say how i fixed it, in case someone else has the issue.

This is caused by your third app antivirus (Norton, avast, avg, etc)

you can:

• uninstall your antivirus completely
  or
• disable it before launching the game (might not work)
  or
• create an exception in your antivirus for the entire isle folder

sometimes it requires you to reboot the pc or download the game again, as the files can be already blocked.

Ait. Than this could be a hardware fault since the gpu is quite old. What im refering to is that i think your gpu reaches a hotspot temp. Forcing your program to get a fatal error.

So the simple solution here is to repaste your gpu and cpu. You can do that yourself if your comfertable doing so. Or get a friend who is a little techy.

Yeah i know it sound wierd. could be a coincedence. But thermal paste wear out over time. Even tho your Gpu temprature showing is "fine". There is also a temprature in the gpu called HOTSPOT temp. and if that reaches a certain threshold. Your gpu will throttle and crash the game. Try adusting your fan speeds to max to see if it lets you play longer. If it does, you have your answer. The thermal paste is wearing off creating hotspots on your gpu chip.

You may need to clear your config folder

Here is a step by step guide:

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

Note: If you delete the "Saved" folder you will get the same results but will lose any saved skin codes

Personally, I recommend verifying files through steam after clearing your config or saved folders

Hello. I cant apply my settings to the game. It always starts with a 1440x1080 resolution, 360fps, every grapic on high. I change it to the settings i want and hit apply. After i close the game and start it the next time its on the previously mentioned settings again. This is caused by your third app antivirus (Norton, avast, avg, etc)

you can:

• uninstall your antivirus completely
  or
• disable it before launching the game (might not work)
  or
• create an exception in your antivirus for the entire isle folder

sometimes it requires you to reboot the pc or download the game again, as the files can be already blocked.

Try these steps it may help:

• Delete your Config folder to reset all settings (Do this every time after every major Update or Change of Version)

How to Delete the Config folder

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults, may also improve performance
8. Start the game.

Settings will have to be adjusted again

Also Update the GPU Driver and Windows to the latest versions

Its likely your Anti Virus blocking some files in the game.. see the pinned messages, whatever you choose to do make sure to Verify the Game in Steam after to replace any missing file

Everytime I try connecting to a server I get “data aquisation failed”. I have full internet connection and I have tried verifying and uninstalling the game. These are official servers and I have dinos on them but I just can’t get on to them.

Before clicking on the server it’s between 45-75 ping. After data aquisation is goes to 0.

I would like a developer to look at this, because I've been doing some research about the very common DLSS stretching issue that a good portion of players regularly experience...

This exact graphical issue occurs not just for TI Evrima but also other games that use unreal engine. Apparently, the DLSS plugin isn't necessarily what's causing the issue itself, but its a bug within the UE engine shipping builds that hasn't been resolved since.

The ACTUAL solution would be to contact UDN for a fix to this issue since its the engine itself causing it.
But, there's a band-aid fix which involves enabling Separate Translucency, which can be inserted into your Engine.ini file as [SystemSettings] r.SeparateTranslucency=1

It would be great for users to try this out and see if they still experience the DLSS issue, and if it turns out to be a decent fix, for the developers to include this in the next patch as a default value.

Will there ever be a true fix for the fatal error crash? I've tried doing what the PIN comments say, it usually works for a while but then it restarts. I'll also note that when I first started playing in 2023, I played for hours, for weeks straight without ever experiencing the fatal crash.
