• to check what graphics card/gpu is identified/installed in your pc/laptop and windows:

run dxdiag.exe from the windows start/search ... there will be a Display tab for each graphics card/gpu installed in your pc/laptop - select a Display tab ... on the right hand side look for where it says feature levels ... check if it supports 12_1 (minimum now i think), 12_0 (was the minimum) and not just 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1, 9_0 etc ... you can also see what graphics driver version/date you are running just above it.

under the System tab you can see what the CPU/Processor is and what windows version/build no. you are running, system memory amount, page file size

or

right click windows taskbar - task manager - click performance tab - scroll down on the left side to GPU - how many GPU's listed? click on GPU 0 and you can see the driver version/date/directx version/maximum directx level supported ... same for GPU 1 if you have more than one graphics adapter / gpu - eg. a discrete/dedicated graphics card and an onboard integrated graphics chip built into the cpu

you can also click on CPU on the left side to get CPU make and model

you can type /unstuck in the in game chat might work or you can tag the @ official server admin role in the official server channel for the official server you are stuck in and mention your in game name and hopefully someone is available to help

nb. if the /unstuck doesn't work it could be because other players are close by ... you can also try logging out while your dino is still alive and logging back in later and the /unstuck command might work the next time

nb. there is a 'cool down' period after using unstuck command ... maybe 10 mins - i'm not sure exactly?

@zealous salmon it seems as though the intel iris xe is using shared system memory and has no dedicated vram of its own which you would get with a discrete/dedicated graphics card ... so i would say you won't be able to run isle evrima using the intel iris xe integrated graphics ...

looking through other posts the reply is always that intel iris xe is an integrated gpu so it not sufficient to run isle evrima ...

i did notice from the image you posted that the graphics driver you are running seems an older version - 31.0.101.4255 - 3/16/2023

i think there is a newer graphics driver update (version 32.0.101.6079_101.5736 - 9/26/2024) you could look at installing that newer version anyway so you are up to date for other games you might want to play

no - it is a software update and doesn't change the hardware at all ... but it means you have the latest driver so could help for playing other games in the future ...

is good for all gamers/users to regularly check windows is up to date including optional updates (windows 11 often has driver updates under the optional updates) and ensure you are running the latest graphics driver whenever possible

There is a spawn spot for baby crocs in the Swamp that spawns them into a tree. There is no way to get out of the tree, since swimming or floating in water is considered movement, which means /unstuck doesn't work.

The cords for the spawn spot are: 222,236.848, 115,222.884, 20,198.615

Spawning in this spot is a guaranteed, slow death as you starve.

Find where it says DLSSEnabled= and set it to True if it isnt already

RX 7700 XT (XFX) Drivers updated
CPU is low utilization (40%) no prob there
48gb RAM no issue there
Settings are mostly epic with some high, although I tried changing them, doesn't work
Some things I've noticed:
100-120 FPS avg (capped at 120)
GPU utilization is 100% like all the time, temps are fine
VRAM USAGE IS LIKE 10-11 GB (WTF?)
The game runs fine but like every 30 min or hour i crash randomly, then the game starts right back up.

maybe you need to check if the correct drivers are installed for the Intel® UHD Graphics for 10th Gen Intel® Processors? try disable it in device manager to test? (could disable it in the bios if possible to test) in case that is causing a crash for the integrated gpu during adapter detection

or try upgrade the integrated graphics driver if it is outdated or not installed correctly?

So apparently regarding this issue, I ve heard that disabling some of your cpu cores fixes the issue by letting your pc by pass the shaders problem.

Help me solve the problem. When I was growing up everything was +- normal, but at the adult stage there is absolutely no food. The only food is during migrations. I tried to get to the migration twice (yesterday and today) and both times it disappeared before I got there. Patrols do not appear after hours of play, when migrations the food disappears - too. Leaves do not provide nutrients. So I am forced to die of starvation. Is this how it is intended or is it still a problem? It is important to clarify that after the disappearance of migration, new ones do not appear even after a long wait.

Update your GPU Driver and your Windows to the latest versions, Verify the game in Steam

Delete the games Config file to reset all settings (do this for every major update)

How to Delete the Config folder

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults, may also improve performance
8. Start the game.

Note: Due to a known bug that stops settings sticking, Hit 'Apply' in settings during every play time, may improve performance

if the nvidia gtx 760 (2 GB vram) is the only graphics card installed in your pc/laptop then that is not sufficient/powerful enough to run the isle evrima ... also the i7-2600 cpu processor is a much older cpu which i actually posted about recently as i still have one in my spare pc which i upgraded a few years ago :> #🔧-evrima-troubleshooting-🔧 message

and below is what i upgraded to from my i7 2600k and nvidia gtx 660 (2GB vram) - got the nvidia rtx 2070 (8GB vram) first in early 2020 not long before the isle evrima came out in june 2020 ... and then got the new cpu, motherboard, ram, full tower pc case and a small 500GB nvme ssd later in 2021 ...

currently have as main pc: amd 5900x (12 core cpu), asus x570 motherboard, 32GB ddr4 system ram, nvidia rtx 2070 (8GB vram), evga 850w platinum psu, nvme/sata ssd's and more recently added an nvme ssd 990 pro ... and i get 80 - 100 fps on medium settings with dlss on - although i always have v-sync on and fps capped to 60 fps and it runs really well

hey, i just had my deino wiped from existence in NA1, i safelogged no more than 20 mins ago, logged back into NA1 like 5 mins later after adjusting a config file, and it threw me in the asset screen.

3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.

Okay so, here comes my issue, with a list of failed solutions.

Firstly, my game won't allow me to use any texture setting below epic without looking like a blurred mess. Second, every time I change settings or even just hit apply, instead of improving my frames, it forces them to 15-20 no matter what I do. Cleaning my PC, deleting configs, Updating Nvidia, verifying files, and updating windows have all failed to help me with this issue. The game has been unplayable for me since the last hordetesting before the update. I genuinely don't know what else to try. Anyone have any ideas?

To note before this update and hordetesting, I was comfortably playing the game at 50 to 60 FPS without drop issues or texture issues.

you can type /unstuck in the in game chat might work or you can tag the @ official server admin role in the official server channel for the official server you are stuck in and mention your in game name and hopefully someone is available to help

nb. if the /unstuck doesn't work it could be because other players are close by ... you can also try logging out while your dino is still alive and logging back in later and the /unstuck command might work the next time

nb. there is a 'cool down' period after using unstuck command which i think has increased since one the recent updates ... maybe 10 mins now? ...

yeah i'm not sure as your cpu is not showing as running out of support so you should have been offered 22H2 or 23H2 ...

also check for optional updates in :> Windows Settings - Windows Update - Advanced options - scroll down to Additional options and Optional updates

i sometimes do what is called an in-place upgrade where you download the latest iso from microsoft directly and then mount the iso (to a drive letter) or install on usb ... and then run setup.exe from the mounted drive letter or the usb from within windows desktop from the windows file manager and it will start upgrading windows (watch the prompts as it asks for responses) and during the install it will ask you if you want to keep your files, folders and apps ...

• nb. always make sure you have your data backed up - preferably two backups just in case ...

blackcactus might have ideas for the blurry display you are getting when they next log in ...

also let them know what display monitor (model) you are using and what it's native resolution is

It's just so confusing to me lol. Everything on my device was fine and was able to run the game smoothly up until a month or so ago.

That has been killing me, too. I always kept my textures at medium because I was fine with it, but then it breaks and looks like playdough, as well as my frames plummeting.

Before I would hit apply and my frames would boost because of the weird bug. Now it's the opposite.

Okay so, just hopped in, frames are at 45 - 50 and textures are fine

The real test is, if I hit apply, will everything break again

So I can typically play without messing with settings, but doing things like adjusting or turning off my music and whatnot affects it too, and I shouldn't have to be afraid to mess with my settings in game.

Okay well after messing with my graphics on Nvidia and logging in, I'm at 60 frames with good textures

I might try to mess with the settings in game, if it breaks, then I guess I'll just ignore editing them until a fix comes along.
