Anyone know why/have a fix for a certain bug where when you press ENTER to open chat the game puts you in windowed mode instead? Been having this issue at random moments and it persists for a while until it fixes itself. I've only been playing on community servers, though, where global chat is enabled.

Allow this file through your firewall.

I have never heard of something like this happening. Maybe deleting your config folder would help?
If playing the game, close it.
In your Windows search bar, type %localappdata% and hit enter.
Locate the Isle folder, open it.
Open the Saved folder.
Delete the Config folder.
Relaunch the game.
(Note: this will also reset your custom settings.)

It only works if there's no player around you. Retry a bit later when no one else is around. If it still doesn't work, ask for the help of a server admin. Check the pins in the regional evrima server channels.

Hello! Im playing Evrima on a ultrawide monitor and Im very zoomed in to the point where I can't see my whole dino which kinda makes it unplayable. I tried playing on legacy and found a fix by adding ''[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV'' in the engine folder which forced it to the correct ratio but it dosen't seem to work as good for Evrima, it zoomed me out alittle bit but did't really change anything. Any ideas?

yeah, I get it on legacy you could acess the root of codes, in evrima you can't, but this zoom in, is strange, usualy the game render all screen..... do you use Nvidea? you could try and find in Nvidea panel the "DSR factor" and check if its marked on something

Yeah I did, and it took a while to figure it out, but the maintainYFov does actually give it proper ultrawide support, but unfortunately it doesn't really make much of a difference compared to Legacy due to Evrima just as a baseline having a super zoomed in camera.

So, the way he did it is actually working, but unlike previous updates, it doesn't make much of a difference.

hey there ... for some they do these things or others suggestions and get the game working and for others there can still be an issue ...

also you can't always tell if the instructions are being followed exactly or skipped as it can be involved trying all the different things ... what would actually be easier is to just remote support someone but that would not be feasible or appropriate - so limited to offering suggestions here in the discord troubleshooting and hope you can help someone fix their problem/get the game going ...

eg. something i find useful is having multiple windows installations - windows 11 and windows 10 each running the steam client so that if i have an issue in one windows installation i can try it on another ... maybe one windows installation is strictly gaming and you limit any extra apps/software you install on that gaming windows installation

well I said that i had this error since forever and could play despite it being there. Anyway I think there is no possible way that anything related to steam would fix the isle server connection. It would have to be fix that is related to multiple things. But I see there you just told there guy with steam fail problem to do all other fixes that are not even related and many many were not possible to be related so basically saying guy to waste a whole bunch of time just cause you were too lazy to actually determin that; and u dump bunch of fixes for other things. Just to give example AppData\Local\TheIsle is not related to steam at all and won't do any good either. Firewall also has nothing to do since steam has very good servers and there is no way for connection to get blocked by steam. Also it is just harmful to tell some random guy to uinstall (reinstall) steam. Have you ever done it do you know what are consequences?

as far as steam goes i have the following i posted awhile back where i clearly state that you don't have to uninstall steam ... in fact i typed up the post so that players don't have to uninstall steam with all the effort and consequences that involves ...

i say how to reinstall steam without losing the games, settings etc ... well it worked for me and i reinstalled steam and did not uninstall steam and i did not lose any of my games etc

I've tried to follow these steps to try to solve the problem, anyway, this didn't working...

1. Delete EAC Folder (in the The Isle folder)
   Verify Integrity of game files
   And run the game

   Open InstallAntiCheat.bat as administraor

3. Run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_setup.exe

hey I didn't know where to ask and I don't know anyone personally who may be able to help, I was trying to start up the game itself the Evrima version, but it just goes black and after getting full screen and shows me these two things then closes the game, and I had followed a youtube video about this out of video memory thing, but that didn't fix it and it still happens, so I tried re-installing it, still kept happening so I switched it to the normal isle to test if its the whole game but nope the normal isle started up easily no issue, and when I switched it back still the same problem. It's probable that you are on the legacy branch, which is the default one when you install the game, but it's outdated and therefore doesn't have official servers. Go into the properties of the game of steam, and in ”beta” you should be able to select Evrima.

How do I install Easy Anti Cheat??

Go to the game folder. Right click game in steam, properties, local files, browse.
Should send you here: steamapps\common\The Isle

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.
Run the game, now it installs EasyAntiCheat for you.

hi there - are you referring to the Lossless Scaling app available in steam? which i have never used but some think it works to render/upscale with higher fps but you end up with some added lag in the process?

are you using a gtx 1650? cpu? laptop or desktop?

what is your cpu model? and graphics card/gpu model (incl. if your cpu has integrated graphics) and graphics driver version?

No, i just disable dlss and play with manual adjusted 3d resolution

Lossless scaling works but with those servers ping + the apps latency it feels really bad to control and play the game so i just dont use it

With lossless scaling to work you will need to at least have the game running at 30fps or above
