I've tried a few different things to fix my issue at hand.. Evrima thinks Easy Anticheat is not installed, Spiro and Legacy work. Any methods of fixing this that I might've not tried yet?

Are you using your own wifi? The error is usually a issue with connecting to the server due to either the server being non functional(shut down/restarting/just not fully set up yet) or your pc/router firewall rules don't allow it, so if your on a school wifi that might be why

To my experience, this game is very much more cpu intensive with all the ai algorithms and players playing at once so if anything @thin oracle is gonna want/need a decent gpu but a strong cpu, I always will recommend having a slightly stronger cpu then gpu especially for this game

Of course. Besides the fact that this is entirely a fresh system that I constructed around a month ago, AND the fact that is ran just fine for a time period after installation aside from some random crashing related to eating, I have checked for driver updates multiple times.

My hypothesis is that the game has a dumb list of graphics cards that it knows aree compatible and prevents anyone not on the list from launching the game

have you tried deleting the TheIsle folder in appdata so that the game recreates it? sometimes fixes issues ....

(default location: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\TheIsle)

1.) If running 'The Isle', exit the game.

2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R") to bring up search box.

3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> Local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!).

4.) Find the 'TheIsle' folder. Delete it or rename it to for example to 'TheIsle - backup' - (can still access it later if you need to).

5.) When you run the game again it will recreate this folder with default settings.

NB. you will permanently lose your saved skins and any custom graphics settings and keyboard shortcut settings you had made but you can backup 'TheIsle' folder first by renaming it as suggested or making a copy of it ... then you can still access the backed up folder if you need to for some reason

• you can also delete just the Config folder if you want to first try to fix issues and keep the saved skins/savegame files:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\SaveGames\LocalSkins.sav (skins file)

• after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again and runs ok

nb. if trying to play the isle evrima via VPN or via a proxy server app it could be problematic and maybe cause issues with easy anti-cheat and being able to connect to isle servers

for one person i helped as they had tried all sorts of things for a month or so to get the isle game to let them connect to isle servers but after i read through their log it said they had been permanently banned - the person was upset and DM'd me directly and said they never cheated ever so from their point of view it was an error on Epic/EOS and Easy Anti-Cheat's side of things

i did notice that they were using a VPN so i wonder if VPN's could be causing some people's connection issues / easy anti-cheat issues?

or even some people are maybe running the isle game via a proxy server app which i imagine could be problematic or may even violate a game's TOS agreements and be regarded as suspect or a violation by anti-cheat services as it hides the real ip address of a client as does using a VPN also hide the real ip address of a client

• *** i wonder if all it takes is for a player or players who are using hacks/cheats to be running via a vpn/proxy server, and Epic/EOS and Easy Anti-Cheat could decide to block the entire ip pool address from that VPN/Proxy server provider - this then affects all players using that particular VPN/Proxy server and then if it happens more than once, Epic/EOS and Easy Anti-Cheat may decide to start blocking players at the steam account level and not just the ip address level ***

Hey guys I have this bug where my audio is reversed like if something’s making sound on the left I hear it on the right and if it’s infront I hear it behind and so on I tried everything I can think of but it doesn’t seem to go away even when I change the headphones. That's one I haven't seen yet.
It's possible your sound balance settings got changed on your PC or if you're wearing reversible headphones, try wearing them the opposite direction

That's very odd

@pastel needle I googled it and looks like it's a very rare issue that happens randomly and may not be specifically related to the isle. (I'm not an expert so don't quote me)

A couple solutions:

• If you have Nvidia, go into the nvidia control panel and disable the high definition audio and virtual audio (doesn't fix it for everyone)

• Install Equalizer APO, it will let you swap the directional audio

The issue is rare enough that there don't seem to be any solid solutions that I could find. Some people had to go as far as reinstalling their audio drivers, some had to reset windows

Speaking of sound- my friend’s audio is like.. always dampened. It could be at 100% (isle audio, idk how loud her computer volume is but she can hear other games fine) yet it sounds like it’s at 15% or so

Under the display settings rhere should be an digital audio or set up digital audio section

She might want to check her volume mixer when the isle is open and make sure it's at the same level as the rest of the computer audio (picture)
And any other volume mixer programs she may have if she has nvidia or something

Otherwise I'm not sure what exactly could be causing the dampened audio

Ya aside from making sure there's no other steam games or EAC applications running in the BG, making sure your game and EAC are up to date, verifying files, and reinstalling the game, there don't seem to be other fixes.

Maybe try uninstalling steam and the isle and then put them on the other drive like you said. Could be a issue with the drive they're installed on very odd issue

Also make sure you're not overclocking the isle. Apparently if you're CPU is too beefy the isle gets cranky and you might need to underclock your CPU for the game

The VR chat thing is more of a workaround for weird EAC issues on any game with EAC. It usually fixes the issue if it was a corrupted or out of date EAC
Basically, installing a new game that uses EAC to fix your old EAC files. VR chat is free so it's the go to

The ping thing I think they changed how ping is displayed from one way to round trip. As for FPS no idea. For the whole 1hr I got to play on my new pc with a 4070 I was getting the same fps as my 1070 on the same high/epic settings

When trying to log onto the servers and I use my main account I get a message saying that the "Anti-Cheat integrity check failed". So I bought the game on a separate account on the same PC and I was able to get onto the servers. Is my main account "banned" and if so is there a way to get "unbanned"? I have done all of those cheeky "fixes". I have reinstalled the whole game. I have deleted and reinstalled anti cheat. I have tried launching the game through anti cheat. It does not work and I have not been able to play the game on my main account for weeks now. A simple account switch fixes it. I believe my main account is "banned" and I have never used exploits or cheats.

• to check what graphics card/gpu is identified/installed in your pc/laptop and windows:

run dxdiag.exe from the windows start/search ... there will be a display tab for each graphics card/gpu installed in your pc/laptop - select a display tab ... on the right hand side look for where it says feature levels ... check if it supports 12_1, 12_0 (minimum) and not just 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1, 9_0 etc ... you can also see what graphics driver version/date you are running just above it.

right click taskbar - task manager - click performance tab - scroll down on the left side to GPU - how many GPU's listed? click on GPU 0 and you can see the driver version/date/directx version/maximum directx level supported ... same for GPU 1 if you have more than one graphics adapter / gpu - eg. a discrete/dedicated graphics card and an onboard integrated graphics chip

check your antivirus software is not blocking/quarantining the isle game .exe file or the isle game folder in its virus vault/quarantine

this might have interrupted the download? or it might still be blocked by the antivirus until you remove it (add exception) from the antivirus quarantine/vault and maybe also add an exception for the isle game folder in the antivirus ui menu

you might need to add an exception to your antivirus for the main Isle game folder and ensure firewall is not blocking any of the isle game files or easy anti-cheat

• after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again and runs ok

(nb. you may need admin rights (right mouse click - Run as administrator) when running/installing things and/or add the steam folder to your antivirus vault/quarantine/firewall exceptions?)

Been having this issue for a bit, I can't load into any server. My game just freezes for a minute or two, then closes every time when I'm connecting. This has happened before but I can't remember how I fixed it. Desperately need help, can't play because of this.

I need help. In Everim, after trying to connect to the server, the game gets jealous with the "Connecting" bar. The antivirus is disabled, all permissions are in the firewall, I run it with admin rights, the drivers are fresh. Reinstalled, rebooted, tried to install on different servers.
