you run dxdiag.exe from the windows start/search (Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")) ... select the display tab ... on the right hand side look for where it says feature levels ... check if it supports 12_1, 12_0 and not just 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1, 9_0 etc ...

you can also see what graphics driver version/date you are running just above it ...

some people were getting isle files blocked by their antivirus since recent updates ... so they had to go to their antivirus quarantine and check if isle files were in there and take them out of quarantine ... and also they added an exception in their antivirus for the isle game .exe and even the whole The Isle installation path ... some may have also deleted The Isle game folder afterwards so it would reinstall when they ran steam again

check steam - right click the isle - properties - betas - and make sure the evrima public branch is selected

then delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then restart your pc/laptop, back into windows and steam so it can download the isle evrima public branch again

Yesterday I got in a mood to play legacy so all I did was I switched the version on steam and let it download overnight, didnt touch the files at all and now I want to keep both evrima an legacy playable on my pc at any time. I know this isn't necessarily a problem with the game, but for me it makes the game unplayable. Basically, I changed my look around button from Mouse x (moving the mouse around) to left click by accident when in the settings menu. Now, I can't change it back, meaning that I can't look around in game without holding left click. I know this isn't about the game, but I need help with it.

3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

I've had exactly the same problem for over weeks and I still haven't found the solution.... file check ok, windows up to date, drivers up to date, uninstalling the game and steam and reinstalling the same! I even formatted the computer and reinstalled everything the same! The worst part is that I have the same problem on my laptop and fixed it at home! I'm also desperate.... I've been looking for a solution for several days and nights!

the video just above and exactly the problem I'm having!!! For over a week, I've been trying to join the EU servers to play. I start the game, it launches, I arrive at the home page no problem, I click on play, I have the list of 19 servers displayed. I choose one regardless of the number of players from 5 to 80 players and systematically return to the home page after a few seconds of "Connecting". I even tried unofficial servers with no one there, same problem. So I tried a lot of solutions, checking the files, uninstalling the anticheat and reinstalling, uninstalling the game, reinstalling nothing, same thing!!! Uninstall Steam then reinstall....same thing! I even formatted my pc everything reinstalled still the same problem. I admit I no longer have any idea and I don't see anyone posting for the same problem as me.... I don't understand is it due to an update that would do this or something else???? Have you tried wiping the config folders, veryifying the game files, and/or doing a clean reinstallation of the game? The devs are aware of this issue so it may be possible that you have to wait for a fix. Also, what are your specs?

you run dxdiag.exe from the windows start/search (Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")) ... select the display tab ... on the right hand side look for where it says feature levels ... check if it supports 12_1, 12_0 and not just 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1, 9_0 etc ...

you can also see what graphics driver version/date you are running just above it

win+r type in "sysdm.cpl", advanced, settings, advanced, changed, uncheck autoamtic manage paging file size for all drives, dissable paging for the slowest drive(in this case the C drive), take your ram in GB times 1024 so for me its 24 times 1024=24576 and then set it as custom size and set it as both values as seen in the picture

Heya, i'm not entirely sure if this belongs here, but i cant install Evrima. For context: i've played evrima last time yesterday evening. Since this morning i get the error "Disk write error" and the game is uninstalled for some reason. if i click download, it starts for a sec and then drops out of the queue entirely.
I've tried multiple solutions, deinstalling the game entirely, deinstalling steam, restarting PC, numerous scans, also scanning the motherboard, etc... delete download cache, switched administrator rights up.. i got more than enough room for the game on my pc and also updated the device driver.

Same issue! For whatever reason antivirus was flagging a file and deleting it ans preventing it from being installed so game would not finish downloading and I would get the disk write error. Check your antivirus and you will have to allow and add the program as an exemption. Hope that helps

When you catch a prey and you want to drag it down the water,.. I remember no matter which way you were facing you just had to press forward to go that way so, you do a 180° to face the water and you were going to water, where the camera is facing,..

Now, once you're "lock" on your prey, you can turn the camera all you want the pad stays the same way it was when you catch it,.. So even if you turn the camera to face water again you need to press backward to go back to water,..

There aren't 50 explanations anyway! one or more developers are working on it without possibly consulting each other and this leads to a lot of bugs. Or there have been additions which come into permanent conflict between them which also leads to bugs and they cannot or do not know what is causing the problem! In any case what surprises me a lot and what I don't understand is why not do a reset of the game if there was a backup of course and restart from a good base.

where do i find the quarantin tab

right click avast logo icon in the bottom right of taskbar - you should see quarantine in the right click context menu

or go into avast ui menu - protection - click on quarantine tab

to add an exception for the isle evrima in avast:

open avast ui - menu - settings - exceptions - add exception or add advanced exception

add exception to your antivirus for the isle game folder or at least an exception for the isle game .exe located in '...\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\TheIsle\Binaries\Win64\TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping.exe' and then possibly need to reinstall/verify the game

• after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again

I reported a sound bug based on the comments, I'm not the only one. But no one has found a “sound that crackles, sizzles, saturates” solution. Is there a place that lists solutions?

I'm not sure if there's a fix for that. If not, you'll have to be patient for the developers to fix it I'm afraid - there's no dedicated channel for solutions or a feedback channel on bug reports.

hello I have some problem with my settings in evrima, my keys no longer work correctly, I can no longer fly in ptera, I can't use the keys for the dilo hallucinations and I can't to do certain attacks if I'm not running. Has anyone had this problem before and if so how did you resolve it? thanks in advance
