seems like it was downloading and was interrupted causing a corruption in the game folder? maybe antivirus blocked files by mistake?

are you able to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again

oh good 🙂 - someone earlier also had a write error and game .exe file was missing - probably same issue with their antivirus blocking it/quarantining file

• at some point the antivirus signature files will be updated and hopefully they no longer flag any of the game files as suspicious

check your windows is up to date with latest windows updates/fairly recent microsoft windows version - preferably 22H2 or later - run winver.exe to get current windows version

Can anyone help me? I switched back to evrima and now my game won't launch, after loading Easy Anticheat it stays on this screen then it just disappears. Can someone please tell me if this is a known issue? Ive asked several times and got no response.
When I go to get into a server, the whole game freezes, which then causes my computer to freeze and I have to hard reset the entire thing.
This is in Evrima and has been going on for a while.
Some servers dont do it as bad, some NA5/NA2 just take a little while to load in. But NA3 freezes everything.
Is this a known issue or has anyone else been experiencing freezing/long wait times just to get into a server with available slots?

win+r type in "sysdm.cpl", advanced, settings, advanced, changed, uncheck autoamtic manage paging file size for all drives, dissable paging for the slowest drive(in this case the C drive), take your ram in GB times 1024 so for me its 24 times 1024=24576 and then set it as custom size and set it as both values as seen in the picture

that is most likely your antivirus has flagged the isle game .exe as suspicious and put it in quarantine and put a write lock on that file/folder - you need to check your antivirus quarantine to see if any of the 'The Isle' files are in there and take them out of quarantine and also you could add exception to your antivirus for the isle game folder or at least an exception for the isle game .exe located in '...\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\TheIsle\Binaries\Win64\TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping.exe' and then possibly need to reinstall/verify the game

I try to click something and it clicks on the freeze frame, if I switch to a second monitor, the picture unfreezes but the mouse blinks. I played the update so it was fine. no i am not a bot lol ... played the isle evrima since it came out in june 2020 and realised more recently it was easy to come into troubleshooting and try and help others where possible as i know with working with pc's/computers/laptops/hardware/software/programming etc for a long time etc how frustrating it can be when things/games are not working for people ...

what version of windows are you running? the isle evrima won't run on windows 7 - only runs on Windows 10/11 (64 bit version)

eg. my windows 10 install is running version 22H2 and is up to date on windows updates (Windows Start - Settings - Update & Security - Windows Update) and running the latest graphics driver

• you can check what version of windows you are running by running winver.exe from the windows start/search (Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R"))

could be your steam client needs reinstalling?
(WARNING: uninstalling steam will uninstall the games (from their install location) that you installed via steam, removes downloadable content and savefiles)

game won't run - game file missing - write errors:

could be your antivirus (also check windows firewall/3rd party firewall is not blocking the game) has flagged the isle game .exe or another part of the isle game folder as suspicious and put it in quarantine and put a write lock/changed permissions on that file/folder - you need to check your antivirus quarantine to see if any of the 'The Isle' files are in there and take them out of quarantine and also you could add exception to your antivirus for the isle game folder or at least an exception for the isle game .exe located in '...\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\TheIsle\Binaries\Win64\TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping.exe' and then possibly need to reinstall/verify the game

• after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop

try delete or rename TheIsle folder in appdata so it gets recreated when you run the game again?

1.) If running 'The Isle', exit the game.

2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R") to bring up search box.

3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> Local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!).

4.) Find the 'TheIsle' folder. Delete it or rename it to for example to 'TheIsle - backup' (can still access it later if you need to).

5.) When you run the game again it will recreate this folder with default settings.

(you will lose custom skins and other custom key settings etc so renaming it means you can access the skins file/key settings files manually if you want to later for some reason)

Hello!
Since they opened new test branch (october/november 2023?) game is not working, though it worked quite fine before. It plays "AE" clip and then all i see is black screen with loading animation in the bottom right corner. No sound. No errors. According task manager the game not responding though it heavily loads CPU, Memory and sometimes even GPU.
Things iv'e tried:

Reinstalled\Verified Integrity
Reinstalled anticheat
Opened in a windowed mode
Windows defender related stuff

I'm kind of lame in such questions, so forgive me my further stupidity. Thank you in advice.
