Hello, I'm having some problems launching the game. Everytime I try running it on steam it just open the anti-cheat window that says "initializing", but never goes past that, just immediatly shutting down
I tried uninstalling it and installing again (tried with steam too), verifying the files and etc. but still nothing

f the game doesn't even boot up , it might be an issue related to vcruntime. In which case you can download this file below and extract the .dll file into your game's installation folder and try launching the game again.@Bastion

If you are experiencing issues with your controls since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

unfortunately the specs you see on steam are for the older version of the game, legacy. they have not updated them to whatever it takes to run the current evrima gateway beta branch. evrima is on unreal engine 5 and is more demanding. it's also a work in progress and not optimized.

sometimes deleting the Config file helps, or even deleting and reinstalling the game

Sometimes the servers are being displayed with such numbers but are actually full. It can happen due to high traffic, unfortunatley there is no fix for it, you'll just have to continue trying.

Alright, i have a issue where after removing my entire "isle" folder from appdata to resolve another issue where it removed the "apply" button whenever i try to change my controls. Resulting in me having to manually change it each time i boot the game ( very annoying). And my question is "How do i fix this?"

I was playing in a pack today and me and another player suddenly threw up out of nowhere.

• We didn't overeat
• We didn't eat anything rotten
• We weren't attacked by anything (No Cera)
• We didn't drink Saltwater

We were just running around, migrating when the other player suddenly threw up. About half an hour later, out of nowhere, my dinosaur vomited as well.

Is this a bug or a mechanic of sorts? If it's the latter then please someone explain why it happened

i recently turned off dlss to see if my framerate would be any better. i didn't notice much of a difference, but i have my fps capped at 60. i think i'm trying fxaa? i've noticed it's a bit grainy. not sure what the least performance cost aa is

I had the same error and also had the glitch where all the servers were "full". First I checked my drives were up to date, doanload and restart if they arent, unistalled the game, reinstalled, restarted my pc. Still didnt fix it, so I unistalled, reinstalled, restarted, and it fixed it

For the X12 fix
Most likely fix are these two, if you update your GeForce experience driver and the problem persists, update your windows version to the current latest version
1.Windows version update to the latest version
which is windows 10 22H2 build (10.0.19045.3693)
2.GeForce latest update (driver) wich is GeForce driver 546.17
Having Direct x12 (The Evrima doesn't support dx11 anymore)

I for one got this x12 problem as well even though my direct is x12. Mainly Windows version problem. My windows version build Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 a version from 2020, sadly if I update (Manually update, I cannot do it in the settings, computer was corrupted before and had it fixed by ppl but they disabled the update feature of my windows 10 so it's stuck at a version from 3years ago and I cannot have a backup, same reason why I cannot play Call of duty and I have to give up on this game as well.) All of my files will be deleted.

hey. i just waited in the connecting screen a good like 4 minutes and i loaded in. it might just be due to the game. Wait a bit in the frozen screen, it eventually loads in.

Okay I figured out what the bug was and it’s related to picking stuff up that crashes me?

I pressed manage nest when holding sticks and it caused me to disconnect from the server

Tip for anyone nesting before this gets fixed, don’t press e when holding sticks for anything other than building nest

I was able to start and play the game, and when I quit, and went to play later in the day, it started up to the first start screen then crashed (see video).
I've followed every thread on the steam forums, and tried every common sense repairs which include:
Reinstall game as beta
Delete localappdata folder, reinstall
Delete easyAntiCheat and re run installer for that
above with a fresh reinstall of the game
Deleting everything, installing base game, then switching to beta
Have tried deleting config folder

I still get the behaviour in the video, press play, launcher starts, then immediately stops.
Again, was able to play at one point but can not now. The regular game starts as expected, just not evrima.
Also, to add to the video, checking task manager did not reveal the program being run anywhere.

EDIT: also tried to do the vcruntime140_1, but the link on the google docs is broken, so I ran vc_redist and it said i was up to date

EDIT2: Ok I reinstalled graphics drivers 4 times, and the 4th time it worked (was up to date to begin with, so confused what changed inbetween my first playthrough and not being able to play later, but yeah It's resolved

I have a problem, where I tried to change my effects setting from low to high then my game crashed and now every time I try to join a server my screen freezes for like 2 mins then it goes black and then the Isle either closes its self or takes me back to the main menu. I deleted and redownload it but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have a fix?
