im not sure if this is a thing but windows might have a feature to change which sound device diffrent programs use try and see if that could be the issue, this is just a sepculation.

Make sure your Resolution is correct (1920x1080 is standard)
Make sure your textures are medium or higher.
Those are gonna be your main things to look out for. ofc other settings will affect how it looks, but you can change those as needbe. i would also recommend keeping your view distance at high/epic

Personally I don't feel altering graphics settings makes much of a difference. Regardless of it being ultra low or ultra high, it still crashes to 20-50 fps on most occasions. Only time I get 50+ fps is when I'm in the middle of nowhere with nobody around.

If you have a hard drive I wonder if your ssd was never writing and its your hard drive doing that, I think you can check whats doing that in task manager or google how to find what your computer is using to write and read

It it really is your ssd and its always writing slow then its def most likely faulty

Yeah seems that hard drive is on its last legs in terms of writing and since its being used steam is slow ,never would guessed temp files on the old hdd being the culprit, but thats def whats probably causing steam to slow to a crawl

ello ♥ I have a problem which drives me crazy meanwhile. so, I hope you may have an idea. since update 6.5 I have a kind of lag every now and then. it is very irregular. sometimes every 10-15 seconds, sometimes only once a minute. it's like a small lag. the screen freezes for a split second and then it works again. I noticed the task manager shows a big spike at the ethernet every time a lag is incoming. so, I checked almost everything on my end. updated (also changed) the modem, every driver, made a new and clean windows install, changed the lan cable and even the cable which comes to the modem. no success tho. I also noticed that the isle is shown in the task manager at about 0.1 MBits a second for most of the time. before a lag is incoming, this number rises to 2.5 -4.0 MBit. sometimes, very less tho, even to 30 MBit a second. which shouldn' be a problem, as I have very stable 250 MBits internet speed. the last thing I noticed is that with less people on the server this lag happens less often. it still does with 50 players, too. but, less often. sorry, I ran out of ideas. can you help me, pls?

hey, maybe someone can help me with this problem: so the game would always crash once I try to start it and it always displays this error. Also before it crashes it says that there are driver issues and sends me to a webside where you can download drivers or smt. I tryed downloading the driver multiple times but once I did my laptop becomes completly unusable bc the thing I downloaded somehow fries my CPU. Hey guys, I have regular and consistent drops in the GPU and CPU which result in FPS drops. I recorded these with Task Manager. The dips always happen at the same time and after a few seconds everything returns to normal. then the game runs smoothly until the next one comes along. It happens once every 2 minutes. Sometimes more often, sometimes not at all.

I have updated all drivers.I tried slightly overclocking the GPU+CPU. didn't help either.
I checked the GPU and CPU for errors using various programs, no problems. Neither does the SSD have any problems.
Others with the same specs don't have these drops, does anyone know what could be the problem?

It actually seems to be a problem inherent to Unreal Engine 5/DirectX 12. Other UE5 projects that use DX12-only features also have this same problem. It affects some GPUs and not others. We've found that reinstalling Windows and updating the BIOS is what works the most to fix that issue. For an official fix my guess is that the devs have to switch to the latest version of UE5.

Can anyone help me with this error? I was previously able to play the Isle just yesterday, but I redownloaded Windows to add more GB to its partition due to occasionally running out of memory, and now this error is popping up. I play on a Mac.
My GPU is AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT. It does support DX12.
I have updated my drivers (I believe?- can someone walk me through the steps anyway?), and I have downloaded all available updates to Windows, including optional updates.

@drowsy quarry I managed to fix it. I had to uninstall and reinstall the GPU after it was done, then restart and fiddle with a few resolution settings so it wasn't stretched. You just need to update your graphics drivers. You can update them through the Geforce Experience app or Nvidia's website.

Did you update Windows after you reinstalled it and did you also validate Windows? I believe you don't get all the Windows update if you haven't validated it. Once Windows is updated your problem should be fixed.

EU1 has had issues with the queue for a while now. unfortunately to get in it, youll probably have to brute force join by just clicking join every chance you get

You can try wiping it, might fix the issue

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

My game will always stay around 23 FPS mainly (Sometimes hits 30), I think I tried nearly all solutions to fix this.

My specifications: GTX 1060, i7-8700 and 16 GB of RAM.

I put ALL settings at LOW, aswell as the resolution to the lowest in both windowed and in fullscreen, nothing appears to change a thing.

With the new UE version that was introduced with the latest update, the hardware specifications for a fluid gameplay experience have drastically increased. You should definitely be able to hit a little more than 23 fps, but don’t expect miracles without upgrading your hardware.

That is understandable, but I can run newer UE games on at least 60 FPS no problems. The thing is, I also know one person who doesn't even have a dedicated GPU and would still be able to hit 60 FPS.

That makes it weird. But like I said, when I put my resolution to lowest and all settings at low, it'd still be stuck at 23 FPS.

If you'd like, I can show it to you guys too, stream it while I change all my settings.

But yes, going from 2160x1080 to 1024x768 with everything at low settings would usually see an increase in FPS, while right now, I am playing with 2160x1080, some settings low and some high/epic, but literally 0 difference in FPS.

I'm currently talking to someone with about the same specifications as me. He's not capped at 23 FPS. He uses 1080p, but has around 40-50 alone and about 25 in the center when there's a lot of dinos. Yet, my lowest settings + 1024x768 has only 23.

Start with this - good idea to have this on when you're having issues like this one to rule out hardware causes.

If temps are high while playing (above 80c usually) this might be the cause.

There must be some sort of throttling issue with hardware in busy areas, my FPS drops commonly to 30-70fps in busy areas and I notice my GPU goes from 99% usage to about 50-60% usage when these drops occur. I'd expect the GPU to continue working at 99% to push the max frames it can?

For those with that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" issue, there are some steps you can do to solve it

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.
Run the game, now it installs EasyAntiCheat for you.

As i have understood it the error you used to get is that the pc cant render stuff quick enough and times out or something like that after 2 minutes(120 sec) and the fix you did makes the pc not time out but keep working(or time out after 9999999 seconds or however many 9s there are) until its renderd but maybe you cant do it quick enough so the server kicks you and then you dont need to render so it goes back to normal. You would probably need to make sure drivers and Windows are up to date and such to make sure your pc is working properly and is up to date

EU1 is one of the few servers that currently don't have a queue. You'll have to brute force your way in unfortunatley.

This is a known issue. If you encounter it, you can try to exit the game immediately, do not create a new character or safe log. Doing so could restore your data upon joining the server again.

I understand the frustration but please keep in mind that you are playing an early access title on which you are playing a beta branch - there's an info box about that every time you start the game. Gameplay disruptions which will impact your experience will most likely happen.
