The freezing issue seems to be caused by a GPU hang. That's a known and recurrent problem with UE5 and DX12. It doesn't affect all cards the same way, and it's unclear what causes it and how to concretely fix it.
Common potential fixes are capping the FPS, reinstalling the drivers, underclocking the GPU, and updating the BIOS.

They have a free plan where you can play one hour. Then you're disconnected and you'll have to wait in the queue again. Can take a few minutes to get a place.

When I used Geforce Now, I could stay in the queue for a few seconds like a few minutes. It depended on when I was playing. The evenings in my region were particularly busy.

Open Task Manager, then go to the Performance tab. Click on GPU 0 (and/or GPU 1, sometimes there's 2 listed depending on the specs). The name of it will be in the top right

They are not going to get rid of Legacy.
It's also normal for a 2023 game to be more difficulty to run than a 2015 game.
Besides, Evrima can run on a laptop. Your problem is that it's not a gaming laptop.

Not really, it was even still overpriced when I built it (late 2022).

I am not aware of any bugs regarding troodon's venom. You do need to be adult for your venom to work, though. And make sure you or a packmate haven't reset the stages by mistiming a pounce.

AMD integrated graphics can because AMD's graphics drivers are also compatible with their integrated graphics. But for Intel CPUs it seems like there's no way of getting them to support DX12.

I don't have a laptop so I can't try it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the laptop still used the GPU (even if just a little bit) when on power-saving mode, because I don't see how Evrima could launch on an Intel iGPU only. Surely there have been communications between the laptop and the GPU even in power-saving mode. One can't take a GPU out of a laptop, so we can't test if the game actually runs on the iGPU only, but I'm pretty sure it's not what happened.

It could also be that since it's a recent and good CPU, maybe it can actually run the game, but I'd be very surprised since I don't think I've seen someone with only a recent Intel iGPU be able to run it even after downloading the latest Intel drivers.

That's not normal, honestly I think you should have returned the whole laptop. Laptops do tend to run hotter but that extreme is not normal.

There is such a bug, yes - the safelog works, but the character data is lost. Currently it got more frequent due to server performance issues - you can try to safe your data by exiting the game immediately. Do not create a new character. That way it could restore your old character upon logging in again. If that doesn't work, you'll have to regrow unfortunatley.

Hi! Evrima Question! Uh, has anyone else had a bug when nested in of falling through the world, and without pressing any buttons to hatch, appearing on top of the nest and being able to play fine. Though later, when the nest is destroyed, it instantly killing the offspring of the nest? (The kid was 10%+)

They cant fix it as its probably a issue on your machine

There will be no ”fix” since it is not a problem. The game just moved to a newer engine and uses newer features that require to have a dedicated GPU supporting DX12 with at least feature level 12_0.
The devs have said they will not provide DX11 support since DX11 is obsolote and doesn't let them do what they want to with their game.

That's because there has been an engine change, and even if you ignore the engine change, The Isle has two versions: Legacy and Evrima, which uses the same local data folder, but not the same controls. That's why problems with controls requiring to wipe the Config data happens: because the game has two versions.

This is the bug caused by having EU4 files in the local data TI folder. I suppose you haven't wiped the folder ever since Update 6.5?
Type %localappdata% in your Windows search bar and hit enter > locate TheIsle folder, click on it > Delete the Saved folder.

Updating your BIOS and reinstalling Windows can help. Underclocking your GPU too. Before going to those lengths, you can try to cap your FPS to 60: that's enough for some people.

BIOS is the software of your motherboard. It ensures, for example, a good communication between all hardware. There are different BIOS versions for every motherboard and you may need to update the version of your BIOS to solve some issues, or to get your motherboard to support a newer generation of CPUs – that's the most common reason why people update their BIOS.
Now, for that specific crash issue, it looks like it's linked to a problem between the GPU, the BIOS and the OS. It's inherent to UE5/DX12 and sadly, for an official fix, we'll have to wait for the devs to move on to a newer version of UE5.
Updating your BIOS can therefore be one of the potential things that will fix or lessen that issue for you. You need to search your motherboard on Google and go to the website and search for the BIOS versions. You need to make sure you're downloading a version that will make sense with what you have. It's quite complicated, so I would totally recommend to watch YouTube videos etc. to make sure you gain sufficient knowledge.

Actually I lied and your CPU does seem to have integrated graphics, I'm not sure why it doesn't appear anywhere, have you downloaded the drivers for you CPU? It can also be because you deactivated your integrated graphics. That's a desktop, right? I'm unsure the integrated graphics can be used if you don't have a monitor plugged to your motherboard.

What was your original problem? Just low FPS? How low are we talking about? You have old and low-end specs. I think that's simply why you have low FPS.

Go on Steam, right-click on The Isle.
Select ”Properties”, go to ”Installed files”, then click ”Browse”.
There you will see a file called InstallAntiCheat. Click on it.
Nothing will visibly happen: that is normal.
Run the game again. Your issue should be fixed.

Task manager can be a bit buggy and it can also be because you've alt-tabbed. I recommend using other software to monitor like for example MSI Atferburner.

My controls are busted. When I use any 1 of my mouse buttons to attack its like I'm always holding l-alt. I've reset settings and changed everything I think would help but the problem persists. All my attacks are omnidirectional, which is a big pain when I'm in a fight

Hey all I've been having a few problems since I switched over to evrima, I had the error with the anti cheat not being installed but I tried to verify game files which didn't work, uninstall and reinstall, restart steam, restart computer and I also tried to reinstall the anti cheat but I'm having a weird problem where the I can't open any of the anti cheat local files even when I run them as an admin. It asks me if I want the anti cheat to make changes to my computer and I click yes and then nothing happens.

Now I'm also having a weird problem when I launch the game 2 instances are opening at the same time and cancelling each other out
