• your graphics card (right-click on your task bar > Task manager > Performance > GPU. If there's GPU 0 and GPU 1, it's GPU 1 you have to look at);
• your graphics driver version and date (same as above, but scroll down to see the drivers' version and date);
• your Windows version (right-click on the Windows icon > System > scroll down to Windows specifications and see what version it says you have).

I've tried deleting the saved folder, verifying game files, uninstalling and reinstalling both the game itself and Anti-Cheat

Underclocking means to modify your GPU's clock rate so that it's lower than it's normal rate. It can help in this particular case because the crash you encounter is a GPU crash following a too big load put on your GPU.
Things like updating the BIOS can also help, but as for underclocking, I don't recommend getting into that unless you know what you're doing.

However, when a server says it's full, it is full, even if it doesn't put you in queue and even if the player-count doesn't show it as full.

Try changing audio quality in the "gameusersetting"(i think its called that) or any of the audio settings for that matter also try putting it to read only, this will make it so the game cant change the settings and revert your change it will also make it so you cant change settings in game

For the firewall:
Allow The Isle through your firewall:
Windows settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Firewall and network protection > Allow an app through firewall > Modify the settings > Allow another app > Browse > find the Isle app by following this path: This PC > Local C: drive > Programs (x86) > Steam > steamapps > Common > The Isle > TheIsle > Binaries > Win64 > select ”TheIsle-Client-Win64-Shipping” app (only click once). Then click OK.

The 3060 gpu is a great budget/performance choise and i dont rly now a good cpu but Google is a good tool just make sure it supports PCIe 4 or you wont get the full usage of ur gpu

The newer amd cpus are rly good, you could go for a intel cpu and one of their new gpus too if you want

Hey, I noticed that when I play The Isle, only my CPU is working (like 70-90%) and my GPU is at 0% (it really never goes over 0%) and I don't think that's normal haha

Configure The Isle to use your dedicated GPU:
In Windows settings > System > Display > scroll down and click on ”Graphic settings” > under ”Graphic performance preferences”, click on ”Browse”.
Once here, follow this path to find The Isle app: This PC > Local C: drive > Programs (x86) > Steam > steamapps > Common > The Isle > TheIsle > Binaries > Win64 > select ”TheIsle-Client-Win64-Shipping” app (only click once) and then click on ”Add”.
Once that's done, click on ”Options”, choose ”high performances” and confirm.

If that doesn't work: what are you using to monitor your GPU's utilisation? Through task manager? It's possible that it doesn't show the actual numbers. You can try a monitoring software like for example MSI Afterburner or the one built-in your GPU's software (AMD has that, I don't know for Nvidia though).

Your CPU is too weak for your GPU, so your CPU works a lot while your GPU is not working at its maximal capacities.
If through task manager, you go to ”Performance”, what does it show for your GPU's utilisation? Just noticed mine doesn't show the correct number on the ”Processus” tab.

Another issue I've been facing is that the settings are not being saved or accepted. Specifically, graphic settings. The game keeps automatically setting everything to the highest, and when I press the "Apply" button, nothing changes. Even after restarting the game, the settings remain the same as before.

That's unfortuantely not an issue you can fix. Your specs just aren't really good. The only way you can fix the issue is getting a better PC (I had the same issues on my gaming laptop and it was just a bit better than what you have)

Hi! I have a question regarding in what way I should upgrade my PC to run the game better. I don't know much about computers, so sorry if I didn't provide enough info.

As far as I know, current system recommendations on Steam are outdated, so I was thinking I could ask you guys here and maybe share your setups as well.
My goal is to run the game at a somewhat consistent 50-60 FPS (or hopefully more) in hotspots. I can currently run most games normally, but the Isle only goes up to 40 when I'm in desolate, faraway points of the map. In hotspots it's 10-20 or less if there's a lot of carcasses around.

RAM: 8 Gb
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Do you think it's the RAM that screws my experience up?

though the 1650 is quite weak compared to some newer graphics card

for example, the 30 series have 2 basic GPUs, which is 3050 and 3060

yes - for the past 3 days I have at least gotten a crash every 20 minutes

I am not quite sure if this only happens on the 1 specific server I usually play on or on every server(since I haven't tested it on other servers long enough yet), but I think it has started since I deleted the "Saved" folder, because I had troubles with not being able to use the replay function.

If it could be server based, would a reason for it be a high player count? The server I get these crashes on has a player count of 150.

Can you please provide:

• your graphics card (right-click on your task bar > Task manager > Performance > GPU. If there's GPU 0 and GPU 1, it's GPU 1 you have to look at);
• your graphics driver version and date (same as above, but scroll down to see the drivers' version and date);
• your Windows version (right-click on the Windows icon > System > scroll down to Windows specifications and see what version it says you have).

Bizarre question but if you want to lower performance what the best thing to lower? And has anyone actually had issues running the game lately? The reason I say bizarre is my PC actually runs the game just fine but is unfortunately an alienware with LOUD fans. Ah, sadly, this GPU is too old. It doesn't receive driver support anymore, but that's critical to run newer DX12 features that Evrima now uses. I'm sorry.

Go on Steam, right-click on The Isle.
Select ”Properties”, go to ”Local files”, then click ”Browse local files”.
There you will see a file called InstallAntiCheat. Click on it.
Nothing will visibly happen: that is normal.
Run the game again. Your issue should be fixed.

Your best bet is probably just to cap your FPS. It'll make your PC work less.

Oh, yeah, a GPU swap doesn't require to change anything in your system. You will just need to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to wipe your old graphics drivers before putting the new card and installing the right drivers for said card.
I would recommend to watch a YouTube video about swaping graphics card.

Is there a bug that causes the game to crash when you join a pack?? More than once I've crashed while in a group and get Fatal error or the other one about unity. When I am Solo I don't crash though. Also it is with all Dinos.

There are crashes caused by an overload put on your GPU. I imagine being around several players could cause that overload. Try to cap your FPS, and if that doesn't work and you're comfortable with that, try underclocking.

Well when I am around other dinos it doesn't crash just when I am in a pack thats it. Also I think I already have my fps capped. But I never had the problem it only started a little while ago after the update of the new dinos.

Yeah, UE5 has some problems with GPU crashes. For now we have to wait for the devs to figure a fix on their side. On your side, you can just try things here and there but it's not guarantied to work.

Hi, I have lost two saves on AU1 in the last two weeks.

1. I safely logged off (properly, with the countdown) with a 100% deino 2 weeks ago and when I log back in, it seems the server has 'forgotten' my profile as it defaults back to the choose animal screen.

2. I safely logged off (again, properly) with a 100% stegosaurus an hour ago and when i logged back in, the same issue - I am back at the dino choose screen.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Basically makes playing unworthwhile if I keep losing profiles.

There is no fix for this unfortunatley. It's an uncommon bug that can occur. If you encounter a missing character, you'll want to exit the game ASAP without safelogging. That way you could recover your old profile.

We don't know for certain, as multiple server are having issues and it's still under diagnosis what causes these problems. The official servers just have a lot more traffic and I guess that puts them under a lot more pressure and can result in missing player profiles.

Go to the server chat corresponding to your region (#evrima-eu, #evrima-na, etc.) and ping the Official server admin role.
Give them your username and the exact server you are on.
Log out and come back online when an admin tells you to, as not to die from starvation or thirst.

4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
8. Restart the game. The issue should be fixed.

Hello, I safely logged out of NA5 with a full 100% deino, after a couple hours when trying to log back in, I get the prompt of creating a new dino. Why did this happen, I know nobody was hitting me and my friend was right next to me and the countdown went to 0 like usual, do I have to start from scratch again?

There seems to be some saving issues on some servers. Official servers don't give back dinos, so yes you sadly have to start from scratch again. I recommend playing on unofficial servers if you don't want to risk to lose your dino again.
