User and elevation are strange to me - so I try to keep it as simple as possible. I suggest you give it a try without setting the always run as administrator

- or you have 2 gfx adapter: one internal which is incompatible and one dedicated gpu which might be compatible -> ensure the dedicated gpu is selected as the main device
- or your gfx hardware really doesn't support this new game version (i.e. Intel Iris Xe chipsets, GTX <1000) -> hope for devs to add a DX11 option (unlikely but you can vote here #general-feedback message)

Unfortunately I do believe your are on the right track with suspecting that your GPU has defect. It might also be the slot - so maybe first try switching it to a different PCI.

no, but i think i did, uhh i had the task manager preformance thing up and was keeping an eye on everything WHILE i played seeing if anything changed while i crashed, nothing spiked from what i saw when i crashed, even if it did i wouldnt be able to tell do to the whole monitor freezing

Unfortunately I think TheIsle is stressing the PC to a point where some dormant issue reveals itself.
You could try running some stresstests to see if you can provoke it somehow else.

Do you know any way to fix a "bug" some sort, when u are underwater with beipi and you cant see the white lines that would help you see. I pressed X yeah, my nightvision above water is fine. So I had a problem with Easy Anti-cheat, where it wasn't installing/running so my game wouldn't run. My husband found the solution; with the new updated version of the game you have to go into your files for the game, find the easy anti-cheat .bat file, and run it as an admin. The .exe does nothing. For anyone who is really stuggling with getting dx12 to work just get windows 11 get all the updates when you check for more updates then in windows updates there should be a button you click then you can turn on a thing for dx12 then go to windows turn on and off systeam something like that find leagcy componts turn that on and the thing inside of it restart then if it doesn't work just go to your divers company website and update it example (i went to nvida driver put in my oprating systeam make sure you atleast put some recent hardware) after you get that open it follow the steps then finally after it done restart then you got it P.S simple fix for devs is to allow dx11 to work for Theisle

this is all i get then nothing. game closes steam says its still running so does task manager but no window. Tried reinstalling the game, updating drivers, deleting saved folder, config folder, old legacy files. verifying with steam restarted computer reinstalled anti cheat. everything, and nothing is working

I just figured out why my game has looked like dog do-do since 6.5 came out.. I have some sort of bug where none of my settings i try to change will save. so ive been stuck at whatever my 3D resolution defaulted to (i think the 70s) when the update pushed out. anyone know a fix for this? never had it happen to me before. I tried deleting my saved configuration to no success.

Can't play at all. This error keeps coming up anytime I try to run it.
Reinstalled, restarted pc, restarted steam, manually removed the game, ran from file, updated drivers, nothing.
fix found thanks to Fräulein_Unschuld:
"You can create a new steam library with the steam client. Go to steam -> configuration -> Storage. There you can assign a new storage when clicking on +. Than the new storage shows up. Now you can move in the same window the isle to the new storage (where a new steam library was created). And than try again
Of course you need for that try a diffrent storage and Partitition (I also had it before on Disk C)"

@strong furnace The "DX12 is not supported on your system" is an issue with people who have the windows(10 for me) update bug. It says "something has went wrong, please try again another time" in your windows update section. You have to manually download one of the past "major" updates that takes you as far as it can go before the smaller most recent updates can be installed. I did this manual update and it reactivated my ability to update instead of having the "something went wrong" error in the windows update section! Hope this can help anyone!

So I have run the game both from files and steam many times. When I run on steam, it gives me the error "Failure: app running" and when I run it in the files it starts up twice (for some reason) before I get the error message "maximum simultaneous game instances reached!" and it crashes both instances of the game. I have reinstalled multiple times, as well as verified the files multiple times. It could be something to do with Windows 11 but idk
