Make sure your graphics drivers and Windows are up-to-date. You want to update your graphics drivers through your GPU's software (Geforce Experience for Nvidia cards, AMD Adrenaline for AMD cards) to make sure you do download and install the latest drivers available. You can check your graphics driver version by right-clicking on the task bar > Task manager > More details > Performance > GPU. If you have two GPU, it's GPU 1 you have to look at. Scroll a bit and below it'll be written the driver version and date. If the date is a couple of months or years old, they're not up-to-date.

Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

It has also been known to be caused by strict permissions with a Windows User Account and/or strict Anti-Virus settings

Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go. You may need to create a new Windows User account to bypass the issue.

For those with that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" issue, there are some steps you can do to solve it

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle"

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

Go to the game folder. Right click game in steam, properties, local files, browse.
Should send you here: steamapps\common\The Isle

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.

if it was not the server crashing and your friends stayed in the server then you were experiencing a disconnect nonetheless. This can be due to a lot of things for example:

• temporarily losing the wifi connection to your router
• your router temporarily losing the internet connection
• your router falsely identifying a DDOS attack and shutting the connection down
• some downloads in the background hogging all the resources
• someone on your internet connection doing massive uploads (torrents/streaming)

%APPDATA% theIsle folder and Steam The Isle Folder
Reinstall Game
Try to start the Game:
Error: -> Easy Anti Cheat isn't installed

Tryed to manually double click InstallAntiCheat.bat
=> nothing happens

-> deleted Easy Anti Cheat folder in Gamefiles
Validate Gamefiles
Files were downloaded again
tryed to start the game
=> Error: -> Easy Anti Cheat isn't installed

I opened the InstallAntiCheat.bat
inside it says:

But not one of these have a EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe in it, to copy and paste it into your "the Isle\EasyAntiCheat" folder.

Many people can't fix the problem in Steam Forum, because they don't got the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe file

I played EVRIMA before, but I reinstalled Windows because of new PC and now I have no active installation of EasyAntiCheat_EOS :-(

The slots get filled in a specific order: top, left, bottom. Even if you have another slot with the same nutriment, it will not fill it if a slot before it is empty.

Perform a complete manual uninstall of the game, it has helped other people with performance issues due to their GPU not being fully used by the game:
Go on Steam > right-click on The Isle > Properties > Installed files > Browse > delete everything in there.
Then, type %localappdata% in your Windows search bar and hit enter. Locate the Isle folder, delete it.
You can now reinstall the game.

You can have it installed on your system but not have the hardware to run it.
Besides, there are several feature levels. You can have a GPU technically supporting DX12, but only feature level 11_0, and that's not enough to support the features used by the game.

If it just says fatal error: it may be due to a human being killed near you. That causes crashes.
If it says something else, you'd need to screenshot the error message.
