Don't quote me, but I think DX11 is what the game runs automatically in, you shouldn't need the -dx11. You can try using -dx12 and see if it works or different error?

Copy EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe and Settings.json to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\EasyAntiCheat
Open Settings.json and modify the Fortnite infos for The Isle
When you try running the game, it will crash, but get further.
So go to Steam and redo the Verify intergrity when right-clicking on game in steam, properties, local files
This will check the files, fix whatever is needed to be fixed.
Now try launching the game again.

If you were playing on the ST build, you need to delete your Saved folder before playing the previous version again. As you're using data from the UE5 version in the UE4 one, hence the freeze.

to get my game to run, I first got the new drivers for ge-force, then deleted everything in the The Isle folder and uninstalled it. apparently, you also have to make sure you have nothing in launch options

but it is't super fun to play right now with all the rubber banding and stuff

I am getting the same error. I have tried just about everything I can think of. I have tried running the game in dx11 but it says the game doesnt support that version, i have downloaded dx12 and updated it to the most recent version, re-downloaded the game, verified files, restarted my computer multiple times and updated my graphics drivers. Ever since I switched over from the Test Servers ive been having some game issues.

1.) deinos eyes were missing (resolved)
2.) lighting glitches - light and then super dark sunlight in game (unresolved)
3.) making a new dinosaur; If i died or dont have anything on a server I go to press confirm gender, to take me to the creation screen, and then my game freezes and eventually crashes... (unresolved)

I don't know what to do, I've already tried to configure my files in steam (where it checks my game files), I've tried redownloading the isle entirely, and I've restarted my pc over and over again...?

I wanted to say earlier I was suggesting to use the launch option -dx11 if you have the dx12 issue, do not do this. This may actually just cause you to have more issue, the most reliable fix has been to update your drivers so far

Bug. Try doing the pinned troubleshooting methods to resolve. If those don’t work, manually uninstall EAC and the isle, then reinstall the public version. Copy the EAC folder to your desktop, then redownload the st version and replace the EAC folder you copied earlier with the one that’s there.

It's really funny to see people blaming your pc or saying you don't have up to date drivers trying to defend a currently unplayable game. it's not your pc or your drivers, it's a problem in the game! I have a 4080 with an i7 w11 and all drivers are up to date and I can't play for 3 minutes without getting a crash!

What crash? And it does have to do with it, UE5 is one of the most up to date engines today and takes an average or powerful pc to run. Not something from 8 years ago. Especially with the quality of the game

That could be the issue. Lower end gpus, those under a 10 series or equivalent, even some 10 series are having some issues with dx12 and performance atm. Have you tried updating it from amd?

1650 is a bit worse than or equal to a 1060. Something like that. Hopefully it’s fixed for public launch, but that’s why we have these things, the test for different gpus
