Yea, usually there's nothing that "runs", at best you get a kernel to pop up for a fraction of a second but that's normal when activating those files

You can also do this:

1. go to "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS" and delete the EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys file.
   If you don't see the ending .sys, it's just the file which doesn't have the blue bear as a symbol
   (see first picture)

2. For the second step do this:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder

3. Then verify your game files over steam:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Veify integrity of game files

4. After that, you go back to the game folder and use the batch files, it's like in the fixes you already tried:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• double click these two files, in the order of picture 2. A terminal might pop up for a second, but else nothing visible will happen.
  And again, it doesn't matter if you see the .bat

5.) Now see if that fixed it

Yeah, it mainly works for legacy, but I bet you would have a better experience on pc anyway, the controls are easier to grasp.

Have the same problem - as soon as I run the game I get a black screen. Guess it has something to do with the graphic settings. Fixed it by ow to Switch to Window Mode With a Hotkey. Try pressing the Alt + Enter hotkey when you're playing in full-screen gaming mode, then you can tamper with the graphics settings which did the trick for me. Hope this helped

You could try this, I'm really not sure if it will help though.
It's basically setting the settings manually, and then removing the "write" permission to the file, so it hopefully stays like that.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask:

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5.) Open the "Saved" folder, and go into the Config folder.
6.) Open the WindowsClient folder.
7.) Open the "GameUserSettings.ini" (for you it might just be "GameUserSettings")

A text File will open, with a lot of different settings.
If you want to change any of your Graphics settings, search for the [ScalabilityGroups] section (like in picture 1) and manually set them with the numbers:
0 for low graphic setting
1 for medium
2 for high
3 for epic

After you manually changed these settings, save and close the file.
Then right-click the file (GameUserSettings) and select settings.
On the first page that opens (general) look right at the bottom, there should be written "Attributes:" with 2 check boxes.
One of the Check-boxes says "read-only", check that and press ok. (like in picture 2, sadly it's in german ): but the position is still correct)

Reduce graphics settings, only running the isle, upgrading computer specs, allocating more ram all can improve fps. Lag/ping will vary depending on what server you choose, your location, and internet speed.

Rabbit may have some other ideas but these are the general tips for fps and ping

Well... after hours of digging it doesn't seem to matter what hardware you have, just seems to be a horribly optimized game that won't be improved anytime soon. managed to fix all my issues by uninstalling it, to anyone else trying to sort through performance issues I wouldn't waste your time, just return it before you spend hours in settings and it becomes non-refundable.

Ive been having a launch issue with the Isle Evrima where it just gets stuck on the title card, I've tried everything I could find and still no results. If anyone could help that would be amazing!

i dont know what causes it on Utah, although i know the pounce is occasionally glitchy. as pachy, if you headbutt something above your weightclass it will stun you for a ridiculous amount of time (or until you look down and right click) so just be careful what you headbutt

I am contacting you to report a bug I found in The Isle Evrima game. When I press the "G" key to try to pick up a piece of meat from another dead dinosaur with the Deinosuchus, the character is unable to bite and the mouth remains open with nothing in it. This happened to me at 10:19 PM Swiss time on March 31st, 2023.

This issue has affected gameplay as I was unable to collect food for my character, which prevented me from progressing in the game. I would like to inform you that the problem occurred in the multiplayer mode of the game.

Hi, Im having some issues actually opening the game and it seems no one on this earth has had the same issue. As Fluff said, it likely is just what happens when you changed the resolution. Sometime can happen when changing Anti-Aliasing as well. Lower resolutions means less pixels which results in either more of a blocky or blurry look

So i have a problem with my game and that is that i can't look around only up and down and i can't use nv. I've been through the settings many times now and can't seem to find what's causing it. Can someone help me please?

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")

4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
5.) Open the Saved folder, and go into the Config folder.
6.) Open the WindowsClient folder.
7.) Delete the Input.ini file (for you it might be called Input)
8.) Restart the game.

Try opening your control panel go to sound configurations and you should see a big list of sounds for ever tab you have open or that uses sound and see if the isle is turned down there

If you're stuck you can try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Tell them your in-game name + your specific server, so they can unstuck you.

Though all Official server admins are volunteers, and might not always be available!
If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a response.

EAC sometimes has something against certain applications. Wallpaper engine for example can cause that issue

Do you have an Anti-Virus Program ? If you do, make sure it's not blocking the game.
You should be able to add an exclusion for the "The Isle" steam game folder
(I mean the folder under:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files)

Else you could also try adding an exclusion to your windows Firewall, this post should explain it well:

The last thing I can think of is trying to delete the "EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys" file and then to reinstall EAC.

It's default path should be in "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS",

• Go there and delete the .sys file
• Then, go to your games folder and delete the EAC folder
• Verify your game files over steam
• Unintall and install Easy-Anti-Cheat over their .bat files again (Feel free to ask if you don't know how)

So I have had this problem for the past few days now where my true mouse location is offset dramatically from where it should be. I have linked an image to where my actual moue position is (red) and where the game thinks my mouse is (blue).

I have a theory it might be a resolution issue but I cannot change the resolution as that would require me to drag my mouse outside the boundaries of my monitor to preform the needed changes. If anyone can help with this I'll be deeply appreciated.

ah! Fair, there are two versions of the game.

Legacy is what you're on when you install the game for the first time. It's an older version of the game that got "abandoned" for different reasons, mainly because of coding problems. It doesn't get any Updates anymore, and will eventually get deleted. But it still sticks around, and some people prefer it to the other version.

Evrima is the new game they started ~3 years ago. It's a beta-branch to legacy, so you can just switch over to it.
It has a lot more different mechanics, and other features. With lots of exciting stuff coming for it. However It currently has less Playables (even though they're more flashed out) and is more performance heavy on your PC.

Do you have "official servers" ticked in your search-bar ? There are no official servers for Legacy anymore, therefore you might not find any

If you want to switch to Evrima, it's easy! Just follow these two pictures.
Evrima will however have to be downloaded!

when you buy the game, it automatically installs the discontinued version called Legacy, if you want to play the new version, you will need to put the beta branch called evrima

• properties > Betas > put Evrima

then it will download the new game

Right-click The Isle.
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files > \Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\ > Find OpenXR and delete the folder.

Allow The Isle through your firewall and/or disable your antivirus. From forum threads of people who have similar problems, it seems it can a problem with your router/modem. You can google your problem to find what solutions people have found to fix not being able to join game servers.

A few ideas could be these:

1.) Try taking a look at these fixes, they might already easily fix it for you!

2.) If the Above didn't work, it might be a program called OpenXR causing problems for you, take a look at this and delete it if you have it

3.) The last Idea I have is creating a certain file in your game files
Go to your game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Fi
• then go into: TheIsle -> Binaries -> Win64

There create a text file named steam_appid.txt with the number 376210 inside. Save and quit, see if that fixed it.

If you tried all the fixes from that link, the last thing I can think of is trying to delete the "EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys" file and then to reinstall EAC.

It's default path should be in "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS",

• Go there and delete the .sys file
• Then, go to your games folder and delete the EAC folder
• Verify your game files over steam
• Unintall and install Easy-Anti-Cheat over their .bat files again (Feel free to ask if you don't know how)

If you are experiencing issues with your controls since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

When i launch the game, EAC is launching normally, but when it ends, the game is about to open but i have this issue and i don't know how to fix it.

hm, try deleting your Config, that resets all your graphic settings and your custom keybinds.
I'd recommand taking a screenshot of your Settings before doing that, so you can restore them if something changes.

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.

3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
