Not sure exactly what happened but I tried playing today and my game crashes after about 3 minutes of being opened. It happens when I just sit at the menu or if I join an empty server.

Hi! I hope this is the right channel. My friends and I just picked this game back up after a while, but we're having trouble adding each other to a group? We're all raptors in an official NA server, and no matter what key I map either 'Players' option to in game, nothing happens. I do not see any Add to Group button in the Tab menu either. So Im not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but basically when i open EVRIMA and get to the home menu screen there is some sort of desync with where you click to interact with any of the buttons. Alright, I am suck. So I have swapped between Legacy and Evrima multiple times without issue, but this time, the game keeps crashing and when I can make it to the main menu, I can't click anything and it seems to lag as I run my mouse over the options, then usually crashes anyway. I verified my files, one was missing, it patched it, still doesn't work. So I said screw it, did a fully new install, still doesn't work. Unless I have to uninstall, switch back to Legacy and install that way, then switch to evrima? I just am confused why it isn't working all of a sudden.

Hello! I’m having trouble getting evrima to work on the new update, every time I boot up the game it gets stuck on the boot up screen with the raptor on the car.

I’ve already tried this method: “go into file explorer C->Program Files86->Steam->steamapps->common->theisle and double click install anticheat”

But it doesn’t work and the game still doesn’t boot. My windows 10 is up to date and so are my drivers. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, verified the game files, and restarted my machine, nothing seems to work. I’d say the only thing I haven’t tried is switching to legacy then back to evrima, but I doubt that’ll work.

That's an issue that can be caused over some VR applications.
Especially OpenXR seems to be causing it, but also stuff like the Oculus app.
Take a look at this Post and try the listed things. If that isn't enough take a look at other VR-Applications you might have and see if you can disable them.

uhhh i guess i write here my problems that i currently have sometimes when playing as deinosuchus after the new update:

when i go on land i get stuck with this "sliding" sound i think even when im in water again... the sound disappears when im underwater but reappear and stay when over the water
Update: i get the sound bug when i eat something on land.

the other one i dont exactly know how to replicate is: when i lunge something and then want to eat it i have nothing in my mouth but i hold something so i cant attack, sniff, rest or do anything like that. I cant get my mouth free again so i have to log out via the menu which thankfully enough gets it undone and the mouth is useable again (and i can eat the kill i did now problem-free)

So I figured out my issue! It's my game resolution. The problem is, it's set too large for my screen so my cursor is off and I can't change the settings because I can't click accept. If you join an Unoffical server with them in it you start out with nothing but a flashlight, you're super slow, and you can eat almost anything including raw meat.

The one you have automatically installed after getting the game is called "Legacy".
Legacy doesn't get any updates anymore and the development for it is paused.

Then there is Evrima, which is the new version of the Game and still gets new updates.

This is something else they can try:

Try deleting the "EasyAntiCheat.sys"(maybe "EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys" for you) file.

It's default path should be in "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS",

• Go there and delete the .sys file
• Then, go to your games folder and delete the EAC folder
• Verify your game files over steam
• Unintall and install Easy-Anti-Cheat over their .bat files again (Feel free to ask if you don't know how)

You should also make sure that your firewall or anti-virus isn't blocking the game.

hm, you could try a manual reinstall.

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
It will however delete the Skins you have saved to presets, so you might want to save those first.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

Hi, I have tried to do everything to get your game to work, but something is causing the anti cheat and the game to not launch with both the isle, and evrima. I have done everything from verify files, to completely deleting and uninstalling the game, and reinstalling. I am running a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, fully updated, and my OS is fully updated. I am able to play games like Star Citizen, which also utilizes anti cheat just fine. I have even gone into the .exe files for both the game and the anti cheat to change it to run as administrator in hopes that would resolve, but it keeps looping from permissions, to game, then back to permissions. I do not know what else to do at this point.

No Dino Eyes/Low Poly Dinos Bug Solution: For Windows 11

Open File Explorer > Press the 3 dots in the top corner > Click options and then view > Scross down and enable hidden files > Press OK

Type %APPDATA% in the taskbar and open the appdata folder > press the back arrow until you see romaing local etc (It will put you in roaming by default) > open local and look for The Isle > Click on The Isle and delete the Saves/Saved folder

After doing so, you may launch the game as usual!

How do i install easy anti cheat, i oppened the game up and it says i don't have easy anti cheat installed

and that file name in the pins, went i put it into my file it isn't there

From circa 3-4 months i've been unable to launch the game because the EAC service gave me an error saying the game "cannot run under a virtual machine".
I know for a fact Easy Anticheat (and most of other anticheats) usually struggle with running VM's, but with other games in this genre i am able to play nonethless since i either have an option to turn off EAC or this particular error was fixed by the developers themselves.
In Evrima's case, i can't do anything to somehow play the game, and it will be a hot while before i will get a new PC that will be able to run TI without the use of a VM.
I assume this is an issue that's not really noted, and if it is then it's not prioritized because there's far more important stuff that needs fixing.

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

It has also been known to be caused by strict permissions with a Windows User Account and/or strict Anti-Virus settings

Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go. You may need to create a new Windows User account to bypass the issue.

If you are experiencing issues with your controls since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, Night Vision not working , etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
8. Restart the game. The issue should be fixed.

i removed any mods, i joined a bunch of different servers to make sure, messed with settings, idk whar to do unlesws i switched somethig in my settigs on

I doubt this will help but it's worth a try

in your windows search bar type 'run' then hit enter
then type %localappdata%/Theisle then hit enter after that delete the saved folder and relaunch the game

Close the game, go to your game file on steam folder:
C:\Users<user here>\AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
Right Click GameUserSettings.ini > Open With > Notepad
Look for this settings and set Post Processing to 3 or 4

sg.PostProcessQuality=3

My game has repetitively froze when I've tried loading into any NA server, not quite sure what to do about this but it looks like I'm unable to load everything and this started happening yesterday when I was fine yesterday

A friend of mine, who can't speak english, asked me to see if anyone knows the reason or even a solution.

We were playing the other day and the servers restarted/Everyone got kicked. We were 3 people playing. Two of us got directed to the main menu while the third didn't.

My friend is having the issue that whenever the server goes down or he leaves the server in any way - His entire pc turns off. For whatever reason. The entire PC freezes and just turns off. His description: It's like you're longpressing the power button to turn your PC off.

Any idea what this could be and how to fix?
